First off, this hospital gown is horrid.
I had my right ovary and tube removed yesterday after a decade and a half of moderate to severe pain on my right side.
I’ve always struggled with endometriosis and abdominal adhesions, which, when left untreated, can cause horrible pain during and around one’s period.
I’ve had 5 laparoscopic surgeries, and due to IVF and pregnancy, I haven’t been able to have one in 6 years. After a C-section, the adhesions got worse, as did the endo, and it had gotten to the point to where I was in pain 2 weeks out of the month. So, yesterday, the doctor found more bowel adhesions and an ovary riddled with endometriosis. I’m just relieved that I may have a chance at a pain-free life. It gets so bad, that even narcotics won’t help. That’s terrifying.
I actually feel better less than 24 hours post-op than I do regularly. How sad is that? 😂
I just want to let women know that if you think there is a problem, get it checked out! Go to as many doctors as it takes. Women’s’ pain isn’t taken seriously enough, and I’ve been told by doctors and nurses that it was all in my head, which has caused serious anxiety.
Turns out, I did have an issue. And hopefully it is finally resolved. 🤞
Women, fight for yourself and your health.
And hospital gowns should never be this color.

Western is definitely not our game yet (We’re Hunt Seat girls)- but we’ve been working on it. It’s tough right now with work and a toddler, as well as the barn being 30 minutes away. But we’re getting there! Angelina is such a good girl, and tries so hard. She earned this blue! 💙
