Miley Cyrus “Faithfully” Live at Chateau Marmont

A few weeks ago, I shared a clip of Mikey Cyrus singing a stellar version of Journey’s “Faithfully” at her birthday celebration at Chateau Marmont, and I know a lot of you really enjoyed it.

You know what you’ll enjoy even more?

The FULL version with actually good audio that Miley herself just shared!

So damn good.

Miley has such a unique voice and delivery style, and I’m really hoping she does a covers album soon. She’s got some great versions of classic songs, so why not?

Maybe that’s what she is hinting at?

Either way, Miley has really grown so much as an artist, and my respect and admiration for her has grown for her in these past few years.

I can’t wait to see what she has in store for us in 2024!

Exit Eden “Separate Ways”

One of my friends – what up Tony Page Jr.!- alerted me to the recent existence of this cover of one of my favorite Joureny songs “Separate Ways”. It’s by an all-female supergroup called “Exit Eden” who specialize in stellar covers, and I was pretty damn impressed.

It’s like a a mash-up of “The Craft” and “Celtic Women”. That’s the vibe I’m getting.

The group is composed of Marina La Torraca, Clementine Delauney, and Anna Brunner, and will release their new album “Femme Fatales” on January 14th.

I’m honestly excited to hear more. These are some hella talented women, and I can’t wait to hear what else they cover!

I’m a big Journey fan, and being so, I must disagree.

Where’s “Separate Ways”? Or “Lights”? “Wheel in the Sky”?  “Lovin, Touchin’, Squeezin'”?  Or their biggest seller “Open Arms”?

Billboard, put down the crack pipe and add those babies in!

Here’s my Top Ten:

10: “Feeling That Way”

9:  “Wheel in the Sky”

8: “Open Arms”

7: “Lovin’, Touchin’ Squeezin'”

6: “Anyway You Want It”

5: “Lights”

4: “Separate Ways”

3: “Stone in Love”

2: “Don’t Stop Believing”

1: “Faithfully”

Of course, these are just my personal choices, as I’m sure the Billboard article is based on the same thing.
