I had to make a tough decision this week. Angel is

I had to make a tough decision this week.
Angel is not really responding to the Aquedan injections, which we started after her Spring shots blew her Arthrimid injections- her pastern arthritis flared right back up.
So, it’s time for my golden girl to retire. Since boarding barns require twice-yearly shots, and she needs more pasture time, she’ll get to live with my best friend in Tennessee for a bit, until we can finally retire home in a few years and have our own pasture.
She tried so hard, but at 17, and pasterns being the worst place to have arthritis (her being clubfooted helps zero) it’s time to let her chill.
At least we know why downward transitions from the lope were so tricky…

I just want what’s best for her, and I know this is it.
Part of having animals is doing what’s best for them and not you.

She gave me her all, and came so far these past 9 years.

More than that, she reignited my passion for horses, and now my husband and I are in it for the long haul. 😂

That being said, one of us needs a new horse… we have Moses, but there’s two of us… so… if anyone knows of a great horse who can trail ride, show, and just be a cool all-around horse, well, I guess we’re officially in the market.

Today is a good day. Almost 9 months later, my hus

Today is a good day.
Almost 9 months later, my husband is home from was supposed to be a “chill deployment to Kuwait”, but then a war broke out, and all chill went out the window.
It’s been a wild time for all of us, and I’m just happy to have my family intact on the same continent.
Many adventures ahead, and we’re ready!
And thank you to all who kept us in your thoughts and prayed for a safe return.
Also, it’s Brandon’s nap time, which is why he looks high. He’s super pumped to have his daddy back, as am I. 🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸

It just hit me that today marks my 23rd full year

It just hit me that today marks my 23rd full year in radio.
I started at 92.3 The HOG in Jackson, TN, and currently am on 47 stations nationwide.
What in the world???
It’s wild to think that, really.
Thank you to everyone who took a chance on me, trained me, put up with me, gave me advice, and kept this radio train going.
And THANK YOU to everyone who tunes in.
Seriously.
THANK YOU for keeping radio alive.
I’m forever grateful.
