Ariana Grande and Cynthia Erivo Perform Gorgeous “Wicked” Medley at The Oscars.

Wow.

That was absolutely incredible.

Ariana Grande and Cynthia Erivo opened the 2025 Oscars tonight with a “Wicked” medley, and THIS is talent.

Pure and simple.

I LOVE the broadway musical, and the movie definitely is just as magical.

Ariana Grande’s talent is beyond, and I’m glad she has moved on from some of her earlier songs, that honestly, didn’t deserve her.

She’s absolutely magic, as is Cynthia Erivo.

No autotune, no big production, no back-up dancers or suggestive lyrics… just pure talent.

More of this, please?

Wicked “Defying Gravity”

“Wicked” hits theaters today!

Have you seen the musical? I was lucky enough to have seen in on Broadway, and it’s incredible, and to be honest, what I’ve seen of the movie so far looks like it is as well.

Since it’s in theaters today, they released the soundtrack as well, and one of the big songs from the movie “Defying Gravity” has done just that with the vocals of Cynthia Erivo, who portrays Elpheba, the Wicked Witch of the West.

Enjoy:

Dang, that was good.

Both Cynthia Erivo and Ariana Grande are incredible talents, and I’m sure this movie is incredible. The face that they are releasing it two parts shows that they’re not rushing the story, and giving it it’s due.

Just a heads up: AMC movie theaters have implemented a “No Singing Along” rule.

ACK!

Guess I’ll have to wait until it streams, then.

“Wicked” Movie Live Singing!

Ok, I’m really excited to see the “Wicked” movie now.

Of course, it’s based on the massive hit Broadway musical “Wicked”, which is absolutely incredible. And it’s really, really hard to parlay a stage hit onto the silver screen, but it looks like it might have been pulled off in the upcoming movie version.

Both Ariana Grande and Cynthia Eriva show off their vocal prowress by singing live in the movie, as opposed to lip-synching to previously recorded tracks, which is usually how it’s done.

Check this out:

Ok, that is hella impressive.

“Wicked” Part 1 hits theaters on November 22nd, and honestly, I’m thinking it looks like a smash so far.

Hopefully it doesn’t go the way of “Cats”… remember that debacle?

Stay tuned…
