Dolly Parton Feat. Steve Perry “Open Arms”

Dolly Parton released her new album “Rockstar” this morning, so first thing, I had to crank it up while making breakfast.

Here’s my first favorite off the album… her version of  Journey’s “Open Arms” with former lead vocalist Steve Perry.

Ahhhhhhhhh! I was not excpecting that. Just a reminder: Dolly is 77, and her voice is still that amazing. “Open Arms” is NOT an easy song to sing, with those soaring, open notes, but Dolly just made it her own.

So, so beautiful.

Here’s the full track listing of “Rockstar”:

2. “World on Fire”

That’s some serious Rockstar Power on this album, and I can’t wait to listen to the rest.

Dolly for President, ya’ll!

Dolly Parton Featuring Sir Paul McCartney and Ringo Starr “Let it Be”

As you’re probably aware of by now, Dolly Parton has a Rock album coming out this Fall called “Rock Star” featuring covers of Rock classics (with a TON of star-studded collabs) and some originals as well. The past few months, Dolly has been periodically dropping songs off the album to get us ready for the release, and her latest is a cover of the iconic “Let it Be” by The Beatles, and features non other than Sir Paul McCartney and Ringo Starr.

How’s THAT for star power?

Ahhh, chilllssss…

I seriously cannot wait for this album, which only Dolly could pull off!

November 17th can’t be here quickly enough!
