Dolly Parton Featuring Lynyrd Skynyrd “Free Bird”

In case you missed it, Dolly Parton released her highly-anticipated “Rock Star” album yesterday, and as expected, it’s absolutely fantastic.

I’ve been cherry-picking a few of my favorites, and I have to say her version of Lynyrd Skynyrd’s Classic Rock stpale “Freebird” is one of the best tracks on there.

Her voice goes perfectly with the Classic Rock/Country vibe, and if I die, I want this played at my funeral, ok? Or memorial service, or whatever.

Yeah, that’s morbid, but I like to plan ahead.

Anyhow, here’s her stellar version of “Freebird” featuring Skynyrd on back-up vocals:

So, so good.

Here’s another gem from the album- Dolly taking on Led Zeppelin’s “Stairway to Heaven” with Lizzo and Sasha Flute:

Dolly’s voice is perfect for the Classic Rock Ballads.  I’ve really been enjoying these the past 24 hours.

Once again, Dolly for President!

Dolly Parton Feat. Linda Perry “What’s Up”

Dolly Parton just made my Friday EVEN better by giving us another song off of her upcoming “Rockstar” album. She has teamed up with the legendary Linda Perry for a version of  “What’s Up” by 4 Non Blondes. At first, I wondered how she would handle the escalating vocals and vibe, but who was I kidding?

It’s Freaking Dolly.

I don’t think there is anything she can’t sing. And remember, she’s in her mid-70’s.

#RESPECT

I seriously cannot wait for her full “Rockstar” album, which drops November 17th.
