1994 Superbowl Halftime Show

I remember this like it was almost yesterday.

1994 Superbowl…

Cowboys beat the Bills… you know… back when the Cowboys won stuff.

I was at my parent’s friends’ house in Bolivar, TN. I was 11 years old, and the halftime show was Clint Black, Travis Tritt, Tanya Tucker, and The Judds.

What a time to be alive.

Behold, one of the greatest Super Bowl Half-Time Shows of all time:

THIS is what we need more of.

The past few half-time shows have been Rap/Hip-Hop, and no disrespect to that, but when was the last time we had a Country show?

Oh right, 1994.

Which makes zero sense, as Country Music is as big as it ever was.

At the very least, a Post Malone Half-Time show with all of his collaborators?

Come on, NFL.

Let’s make this happen.

Morgan Wallen Piano Version of “Love Somebody”

Morgan Wallen is spending his 2nd week on top of the Hot Country charts with his 16th #1 “Love Somebody”, and he just put out a live piano version of the song on his Instagram, and I feel like it’s even better than the original, which I also love:

Wowza.

I wasn’t expecting it to be that good.

I love how low-key the video is, and whatever you think about Morgan Wallen, you can’t deny that the dude is talented.

He is currently getting ready for his next album “I’m the Problem”, and although no release date has been set as of yet, I’m sure we’ll be hearing something soon, especially as he’s already announced the tour dates to support it.

Trey Lewis Interview

Viral Country Star Trey Lewis joined me on the show today, and I really enjoyed our chat.

In case you’re not aware, Trey Lewis is the artist behind the viral hit “Dicked Down in Dallas”… if you’ve not heard it, behold:

Oh, and it’s VERY NSFW.

Ok, it’s catchy. You know it is.

Messed up, but catchy. Hence why it became a mega-viral hit.

Anyhow, Trey will be at The Whiskey Baron in Colorado Springs Friday night, and he joined me today to talk about his show, and his inspiring story.

Take a listen:

Isn’t he awesome? Such an inspiring story, and great advice for anyone going through addiction.

Steven Tyler is BACK!

Steven Tyler is back!!!

Ok, maybe not in Aerosmith touring shape just yet, but he did sing a few songs at his “Janie’s Fund” Grammy Watch Party this past Sunday night, and it sounds like his voice is making a solid comeback.

He blew out his voice singing on Aerosmith’s “Peace Out” Farewell tour, and the tour had to be cancelled as the damage to Steven’s voice was so bad.

Sounds like he’s making a comeback, though!

Damn, I love me some Steven Tyler.

Easily one of the most recognizable voices in Rock.

Oh, and he performed with one of my favorite Country singers right now- Lainey Wilson- on the iconic “Dream On”.

I am not ok right now.

That right there is a dream scenario for me.

Will Steven Tyler return to the stage with Aerosmith?

Let’s be real, probably not.

But as long as we get a little slice of Steven, we’re good.

Chatting With Clint Black!

Well, this was special.

Growing up on 90’s Country, I LOVE Clint Black.

Just an absolute legend.

So, to get to talk to him on my show, well, that’s pretty dang cool.

At least I think it is.

Check out the interview below!

Eeeeek! I just love him, and he made my week.

Clint Black is currently on his “Still Killin’ Time” tour, and you can get dates and info at http://clintblack.com

Randy Travis “Horses in Heaven”

Well, this was a nice surprise this week.

Randy Travis has released a new song called “Horses in Heaven” with the help of AI (Randy had a stroke years ago), and it’s times like these that I am grateful for what AI can do.

Randy Travis is a lifelong horseman, and being a horse person myself, I love this song so much.

Give it a listen below:

Here are the full lyrics:

“Horses In Heaven”

There are horses in Heaven
It says it in the Bible
Right there in Revelation
Red and pale, and black and white
Elijah left this world
On a chariot of fire
When Jesus comes back, he might just borrow
The silver for the night

There are horses in Heaven
So I bet that God’s a cowboy
Heading off into the sunset
In a big white Stetson hat
Every time you hear the thunder
It’s just a posse full of angels
Riding those horses up in Heaven
Golden saddles on their backs

When the roll is called up yonder
And they put me out to pasture
I hope there’s a pretty palomino
Just beyond the gate
I’ll see my dad and Pawpaw
You know that they’ll be waiting
To pull a plug of Red Man
And take out across the plains

‘Cause there are horses in Heaven
Yeah, I bet that God’s a cowboy
Heading off into the sunset
In a big white Stetson hat
Every time you hear the thunder
It’s just a posse full of angels
Riding those horses up in Heaven
Golden saddles on their backs

We’re all gonna get there
In a big long Cadillac
Once you cross that river
You won’t wanna cross it back

‘Cause there are horses in Heaven
So you know that God loves cowboys
Heading off into the sunset
In a big white Stetson hat
And every time you hear the thunder
It’s just a posse full of angels
Riding those horses up in Heaven
Golden saddles on their backs

There are horses in Heaven
And thank the Lord for that”

Ahhhh! My heart!
I especially love the line about the Pretty Palomino, as my mare and heart horse is a Palomino.
Definitely one of my new favorite songs this year.
Again, I’m all for AI when it’s used for things like this!

P!nk Performs “Me and Bobby McGee” at FireAid

SING It, P!nk!

P!nk was one of the many performers at the FireAid benefit concert last night, which, of course, benefits the many affected by the LA Wildfires.

She busted out an absolutely stellar cover of Janis Joplin’s “Me and Bobby McGee” and hot damn, she just slayed it to bits:

Dammnnnnn woman…

I’ve always admired P!nk’s incredible vocal talent and style, and that acoustic version of the Janis Joplin classic just drives home how good she really is.

The FireAid concert had so many incredible performances to help those affected by the devastating wildfires, and you can find out how you can help here: https://fireaidla.org/

Morgan Wallen “I’m the Problem”

As promised, Morgan Wallen released his new single “I’m the Problem”- the title track to his new album- this morning.

And yeah, it’s pretty damn good:

Seriously, Morgan has the Midas Touch these past few years, and if he can keep himself out of trouble, who knows how far he can go?

He’s got a new album and tour coming, and you can stay up to date with all he’s got going on at http://morganwallen.com

Love him, hate him, or even if you’re not a huge Country fan, you kind of have to admit that he’s got something.

I can’t put my finger on it, but he has it.

The 2025 Budweiser Super Bowl Commercial!

It’s Super Bowl Season, and that means lots of commercials are coming our way.

Back in the day, you had to wait until the actual game to watch them, but in today’s modern times, you get them weeks in advance thanks to the internet.

One of the Super Bowl Commercial staples is the Budweiser commercials, which always feature their infamous Clydesdales.

As a horse girl, I always love these.

Here’s the 2025 Budweiser Superbowl Commercial that was just released this morning:

Why do I always tear up at these?

Middle Age hormones for the win!

By the way, the average cost to air an ad during the 2025 Super Bowl is around $7 million.

That’s to just to air it.

I can’t even imagine what it costs to make one.

But clearly, it’s working for Budweiser, and I really want my own Clydesdale team one day.

Except they would be pulling casks of wine.

Kane Brown and Katelyn Brown “Do Us Apart”

This past Friday, Kane Brown released his latest album “The High Road”, which is full of collabs- which is the thing lately- he’s got everyone from Brad Paisley to Jelly Roll on his new release. And, like his last album, he has tapped his incredibly vocally talented wife Katelyn for two duets. One- called “Do Us Apart” is really pretty, and has more a traditional Country sound than a lot of Kane Brown’s songs.

I’m just in love with Katelyn’s voice. She was an aspiring singer prior to marrying Kane, and holy smokes, she’s good!

Now, the song reminds me a lot of Cody Johnson and Carrie Underwood’s duet that’s on the radio now called “I’m Gonna Love You”, but I almost like this one better. It just has a cool vibe to it. And honestly, I like Kane Brown’s voice and style better when he’s keeping it more traditional and not getting too Pop/Hip Hop with it. But that’s just what I prefer style-wise, as 90’s Country is what I grew up on.

Another song I like on Kane’s new album is his latest radio single “Backseat Driver”, which as a toddler mom, I can totally appreciate:

Again, a more traditional Country sound with this one. Yes, I’m old school.
