Carrie Underwood Covering Ozzy’s “Mama I’m Coming Home”

The Rock and Metal community is reeling from the loss of the iconic Ozzy Osbourne, and tributes are everywhere.

As they should be. Dude was a freaking LEGEND.

One performance is making the internet rounds this week is actually a performance that happened a couple of years ago on “The Howard Stern Show” where Country star Carrie Underwood performed Ozzy’s “Mama, I’m Coming Home” and slayed it.

Ok, so maybe she doesn’t rock near as hard as Ozzy, but it’s a pretty cool rendition, and definitely worthy.

I love that Carrie Underwood is a big Rock fan, and can turn it up to 11 when needs to, like when she opened up for Guns N’ Roses on tour recently.

Anyhow, I enjoyed that this morning, and hopefully you did as well.

RIP Ozzy.

There will never be another…

Ozzy Osbourne “Mama, I’m Coming Home” Final Performance

Ozzy Osbourne passed away today at 76 years old.

No, this is not fake news.

It really happened.

I feel like he really knew that the end was near at his farewell performance on July 5th, especially after his performance of “Mama, I’m Coming Home”.

Try not to choke up:

Ughhhh… I still can’t believe he’s gone.

Rest easy, Ozzy. You are already so missed…

Brooks & Dunn Featuring Halestorm “Boot Scootin’ Boogie”

Well, that’s different.

On Friday, Brooks and Dunn released their “Reboot 2” album, and there’s all kinds of reimagined hits of their catalogue. Everyone from Morgan Wallen to Lainey Wilson to Halestorm- yes, Halestorm- are on the album.

Wanna hear a Metal version of “Boot Scootin’ Boogie”?

Thanks to Halestorm, we now have it:

Well, ok then.

I don’t hate it, though.

Lzzy Hale- the vocalist of Halestorm- is a freaking Rock Goddess. I appreciate anything she does.

Definitely an unexpected combo- but you know what? I’m down. I love both Country and Rock, so I’m for combining the worlds.

If Iron Maiden Covered ABBA’s “Dancing Queen”

I love stuff like this.

Another favorite creator of mine is Moonic Productions, and he’s always doing random mash-ups that shouldn’ work, but they do.

Like this version of ABBA’s “Dancing Queen” in the style of Iron Maiden.

Brilliant.

Don’t lie. You were totally rocking out to that.

“Hawk Tuah” Metal Song

So far, there is NO stopping the “Hawk Tuah” girl- AKA Hailey Welch- who took over the internet a few weeks ago with this viral moment:

@ahpositive The Original Hawk Tuah #hawktuah #spitonthatthing #meme #viralvideo ♬ Originalton – AHPositive

Well, now there is a “Hawk Tuah” themed Metal song, and it’s not awful:

I present to you, “Hawk Tuah Down”:

Kudos to whover made this.

You win the internet this week.

Metalhead Horse Isn’t a Fan of Country Music

This viral video combines two of my favorite things: Music and Horses!

Autumn Purdy and her horse “Pretty” have been going viral for her horse’s love of Heavy Metal.

This is the best thing I’ve seen all week!

Clearly, Pretty isn’t a Morgan Wallen fan.

Pretty is a rocker, dammit, and don’t you forget it!

My horse is more into Elton John and The Eagles… she’s middle-aged like that.

Check out more videos of Pretty’s rockin’ self on her owener’s Tik Tok here.

Exit Eden “Separate Ways”

One of my friends – what up Tony Page Jr.!- alerted me to the recent existence of this cover of one of my favorite Joureny songs “Separate Ways”. It’s by an all-female supergroup called “Exit Eden” who specialize in stellar covers, and I was pretty damn impressed.

It’s like a a mash-up of “The Craft” and “Celtic Women”. That’s the vibe I’m getting.

The group is composed of Marina La Torraca, Clementine Delauney, and Anna Brunner, and will release their new album “Femme Fatales” on January 14th.

I’m honestly excited to hear more. These are some hella talented women, and I can’t wait to hear what else they cover!
