Lakelin Lemmings “Parking Lot”

Ok, this makes my heart beyond happy.

Up-and-coming Country artist Lakelin Lemmings- who just happens to be from my hometown of Henderson, TN, just released a new single, and… it’s perfect.

Even better? The music video takes place in my Alma Mater Chester County High School’s parking lot!

This song totally nails small-town teenage life on the head.

Check it out!

Ok, LOVE the song. Her voice is fantastic, expressive, and has that true Country sound. The production (and the video!) are great as well.

Growing up in Henderson, TN and hoping to move back when my husband retires, this gives me all the feels.

The parking lot was where it was at 25 years ago when I was in high school, and I’m happy to see that some things never change.

I remember driving my parents’ Chevy Dually blaring Kid Rock’s “Devil Without a Cause”  Dr. Dre, and Britney Spears, and always taking 2 spaces to park.

Living all over the country as an Army wife and radio personality, I can honestly tell you that there truly is no place like home.

I can’t wait to see where Lakelin Lemmings goes.

Girlfriend has it.

I’m in your corner, girl!

Lainey Wilson’s Nashville Home Tour

Country Star Lainey Wilson just gave a tour of her Nashville home to Architectual Digest, and it’s just as cool as she is!

Enjoy:

Pretty cool, right?

Maybe I’ll win the lottery tomorrow night (it’s at 1.3 Billion dollars) and jazz up my place a bit.

Or hire a decorator to do it, as I’m lazy.

A girl can dream, right?

Post Malone Covers the Eagles

Post Malone is really impressing me lately.

I remember hearing that he was going Country and thinking “Oh Lord, really?”

But I feel like he’s really proving himself in the genre, and totally leaning into the Nashville lifestyle.

He’s now getting attention for an impromptu version of The Eagles “Take it Easy”, and it’s pretty damn solid.

@postmaloneDirty Dave on the keys

♬ take it easy – Slay

Pretty damn good.

My only complaint is that it’s only 13 seconds long.

Can we get more pleaseeee?

Also, I like him better without his signature autotune.

Also, Post Malone is working on his 2nd Country album, and he’s saying it will be along the more traditional Country route.

Fingers crossed!

Miranda Lambert and Chris Stapleton “A Song to Sing” Music Video

I am loving this!

A few weeks ago, Miranda Lambert and Chris Stapleton released a 70’s inspired tune called “A Song to Sing”, and they just released the music video for it.

It’s perfect!

First off, Chris and Miranda together is just necessary.

Secondly, the song and video just bring happy vibes.

More of this in life, please?

Where’s my roller skates?

Lainey Wilson “Peace, Love and Cowboys”

Happy Friday!

Lainey Wilson just gave us a new banger with “Peace, Love and Cowboys”, and obvious, I love it.

She’s been teasing this one on social media all week, and it doesn’t disappoint:

I agree.

The world needs more of all of those things.

The track is one of the new songs that are on Lainey Wilson’s deluxe version of her latest album “Whirlwind” out today.

Long Live Lainey!

Morgan Wallen’s Sister Can SING!

Morgan Wallen is always making headlines.

Be it for his music or his drunken antics, the dude is everywhere, and is easily one of the most successful Country artists of all time already.

Well, today, he’s not the one getting the attention.

His sister Mikaela is.

She is one of his three sisters, and has clearly inherited some of the family’s vocal talent:

@mikaelawallen_ Felt brave.. might delete later but the acoustics go crazy in here #fyp #TheAnimals #acoustic ♬ original sound – Mikaela Wallen

Dang, girl has some pipes on her!

Maybe a duet with Morgan could be next?

Bro, hook yo sister up!

Also, I too can never resist belting out in a room with great acoustics.

Sadly, I don’t sound as good as her, but I totally relate!
Also, KUDOS for a fantastic song choice.

Jessie Murph covering Miranda Lambert’s “Tin Man”

Jessie Murph has had a major year so far.

She’s been on the scene for a minute now, and really broke through with Country star Koe Wetzel on “High Road”.

Anyone who’s heard her music knows she has a “rough” edge to her, to put it lightly.

I’ll be honest, it’s too much for Middle-Aged me, although “Blue Strips” does get stuck in my head way to often these days.

Anyhow, we got to see a softer side of Jessie this week when she performed beautiful version of Miranda Lambert’s “Tin Man”:

That was freaking amazing.

Can she crossover to Country for real? Her voice is made for it!

Also, if you’ve never heard the original by Miranda Lambert, well, educate yourself now:

Maybe a collab should be in order?

I just sent that out to the universe to manifest, so we’ll see!

Tim McGraw “King Rodeo”

Tim McGraw’s catalogue is seriously one of the biggest soundtracks to my childhood.

And at 58, he’s showing no signs of slowing down on the hits with his new song “Dear Rodeo”.

It was just released as a live version from the inaugural Music City Rodeo earlier this year, and it’s giving some “Desperado” vibes:

Damn, Tim is good live.

And I think that song is one of his best yet. Giving me some chills over here.

The song is likely part of the Bull Riding TV series that Tim was supposed to be a part of, but then he had a bunch of major surgeries this year that took him out of the project.

Hey, at least we got this killer song from it, so it’s not a total loss, right?

As far as Tim’s recovery from the surgeries, it looks like he’s doing well, and he was seen last week going into a recording studio (and rocking a shaved head, too) so I’m guessing more new music is on the horizon?

Stay tuned!

Zach Top “South of Sanity”

Thank you, Baby Jesus, once again for Zach Top!

Zach burst onto the Country Music scene last year, and has been blazing a trail through all of the bro-Country with his perfect 90’s Country style.

Thank GOD.

His new song, which just dropped this morning, is totally giving George Strait’s “I Can Still Make Cheyenne” and I am HERE for it.

All of it.

Well, now, that’s real Country music, and I’m just thankful for artists like Zach who are bringing that glorious sound back to Country Radio.

We’ll get more of this on his upcoming album “Ain’t in it for My Health” which drops August 29th.

Chris Stapleton on “Sesame Street”!

Well, this is special.

Country Superstar Chris Stapleton just made an appearance on “Sesame Street” and it was, of course, adorable.

Being a momma to a 3-year-old has me all into kid shows lately, so I love this extra!

The song is called “You’ve Got a Friend in Music”:

Awwww… well, that made my Monday just a little bit better!

You can catch this episode and others on HBO Max, where “Sesame Street” lives.
