Ella Langley is one of the ones to watch in Country Music, and this music video for her song with Riley Green “You Look Like You Love Me” will just solidify her in the industry.
First of all, I love the song- it’s pure Classic Country- and the video is perfect:
Does anyone alse think Riley Green needs to be a character on “Yellowstone”, or at least on a spinoff?
He’s totally giving off Spencer Dutton vibes.
“You Look Like You Love Me” is easily one of my favorite Country songs of the year so far, and I have a strong feeling you’ll hear a lot more from Ella Langley in the future.
Anyone else super happy that the Classic Country sound is making a comeback?
This new song of hers is just another reason why she is one of the best in the business- check out “No Man’s Land”:
Seriously, Miranda never misses. Her voice, delivery, and ability to evoke emotion through song is almost unmatched. So far, I have loved every song she has put out off of her upcoming album “No Man’s Land”, which comes out September 13th.
Yesterday, Post Malone released his highly anticipated “F-1 Trillion” album, and as expected, it’s pretty damn fantastic.
Even if you’re not a fan of Post Malone infiltrating the Country Music scene, I don’t really think you could find fault in the music that he’s put out. It’s solid stuff, and has some of the greatest in Country Music on the album with him. Oh, and then he also dropped the “F-1 Trillion: Long Bed” edition yesterday as well- a surprise 9 song album full of original Country songs of just Post Malone himself. And yes, they’re impressive, too.
I’ve been listening to “F-1 Trillion” these past 24 hours, and here’s my favorite- his collab with Luke Combs “Missin’ You Like This”:
Now, that’s some Country right there. Bonus points for the shout out to Kansas- one of the best states in the nation- and an Exxon station break-up.
Also, Post Malone sounds great on the track, as does Luke Combs (as always), and it’s been in my head for the past day.
Another couple of my favorites on the album include Post Malone’s Dolly Parton collab “Have the Heart” and his collab with Chris Stapleton “California Sober”:
I absolutely love the variety of the artists and sounds on this album, and like it or not, Post Malone just proved himself in Nashville.
I’m going to be honest. I wasn’t really feeling Kelsea Ballerini when she first came out with her debut single “Love You Like You Mean It” in 2015. Of course, that was when Bro/Pop Country was at it peak. With songs like “Love Me Like You Mean It” and “Hey, Boy”, I was underwhelmed. But Kelsea has really grown so much as an artist and songwriter, and her latest release “Sorry Mom” shows how far she has come:
As someone who has a really close relationship with her mother, and who has done some dumb things that I know she didn’t approve of, this song is something I can truly relate to. And I know so many other women (and I’m sure men, too) will relate. After this and her collab with Noah Kahn “Cowboys Cry Too”, I’m really excited to see what she has in store for us on her upcoming album “Patterns” out October 25th.
I don’t know about you, but I’m getting real excited about the upcoming Post Malone Country album “F-1 Trillion”, which comes out next Friday, August 16th.
Posty just put up a teaser to the latest collab- one with Tim McGraw called “Wrong Ones”, and it’s totally giving a “Real Good Man” vibe.
I have been waiting for this since Lainey Wilson and Miranda Lambert performed it in Vegas back in December.
Earlier this morning, Lainey and Miranda dropped a new song called “Good Horses”, and it’s everything I had hoped for.
I mean, really, how can you go wrong with these two?
PERFECTIIOn.
“Good Horses” was written by Lainey Wilson and Miranda Lambert alongside songwriter Luke Dick.
Everything about it, I love. The lyrics, which as a horse woman and a woman who has been hapily married for seventeen years to a man who has never tried to fence me in, speak to me on so many levels. And yes, a good horse will always come home. It knows where the hay is. Being a military wife, and someone who always likes to do my own thing and have my own life as well, this song is both me and my husband. We will always make our way back home to each other, no matter what. No need to keep each other in a round pen.
Kudos to Lainey and Miranda, not for just a beautifully written song that is nothing like what is on Country radio just now, but also for the gorgeous vocals.
“Good Horses” will be on Lainey’s upcoming album “Whirlwind” which will be out August 23rd.
Miranda Lambert performed a new song of hers live for the first time ever in concert over the weekend- it’s called “Alimony” and it’s the PERFECT divorce song, and so perfectly Miranda:
First off, how great is she live?
Secondly, how fun is that song? Kind of a spicy twist on divorse. Of course, after her husband was seen grinding on some bachelorettes at Miranda’s Nashville bar recently, some thing this song is her answer to his behavior.
I don’t think so… because he’d be the one getting alimony, not Miranda.
Either way, super fun song, and it’s got me even more hyped for her upcoming album on Republic Records!
Morgan Wallen gave fans something to celebrate this Fourth of July weekend.
He just released a fan favorite called “Lies Lies Lies”, and if you haven’t heard it, it’s kind of a banger, like most of Morgan Wallen’s catalogue.
SUCH a good song, and I totally get why is super fans wanted him to release it.
It was originally a part of Morgan’s “Abbey Road Sessions” in London, and his fans have been begging for an actual studio recorded release, and he delivered.
The song is written by Jessie Jo Dillon, Josh Miller, Daniel Ross and Chris Tompkins, and if it goes to radio, I’m betting it’ll be another #1 for Morgan.
There is NO stopping this guy.
Unless, you know, he has another few scandals… but so did most of the greats in Country music.
Morgan Wallen is currently slaying it on his “One Night at a Time” staium tour, and you can get those dates at http://MorganWallen.com
