Lainey Wilson “Hang Tight Honey” Music Video

I didn’t think it was possible, but I love Lainey Wilson even more after this video!

Lainey released the music video for her latest hit “Hang Tight Honey” today, and it’s pretty dang cool.

I love the 60’s vibe that it starts out with, and her band being heaviy featured as well.

Check it out below:

Seriously, how fun is that?

Hang tight honey, Lainey isn’t going anywhere. I kind of feel like she’s just getting started.

Good.

Check out her new album “Whirlwind” which drops August 23rd, and she is all over the place this year on the road- hence the inspiration for the song- and you can get her dates at http://LaineyWilson.com

Lainey Wilson Joins The Rolling Stones Onstage in Chicago

Well, this made my Country and Rock loving heart happy.

Lainey Wilson opened up for The Rolling Stones in Chicago last night, and even got to join the band later on for a performance of “Dead Flowers”:

LOVEEEEEE!

Lainey just can’t miss, and can we give a shout out to The Rolling Stones for still kicking ass 60 years into their career?

The only thing that would have made it better would have been a performance of “Wild Horses”, one of my favorites from The Stones.

Oh, and my cousin Amanda was there last night… so, yeah, I’m major league jealous.

But, I’ll take what I can get!

Also, Lainey’s new album “Whirlwind” comes out August 23rd, and “Hang Tight Honey”, because her ride is just getting started.

Lainey Wilson “Out of Oklahoma”

Happy First Day of Summer!

Let’s celebrate with new music from Lainey Wilson, shall we?

Lainey has a new song that she wrote for the upcoming “Twisters” movie soundtrack called “Out of Oklahoma”, and I think it’s one of her best yet:

LOVE IT!

Lainey’s vocals, style, and writing are perfect modern Country, and I am definitely adding this one to my personal playlist.

“Out of Oklahoma” will be featured along with tracks by Luke Combs, Shania Twain, Miranda Lambert, Red Clay Strays and more on the “Twisters” movie soundtrack with comes out the same day as the movie on July 19th.

The soundtrack alone will be worth seeing the movie for!

Lainey Wilson and Miranda Lambert Slay the Stage in Nashville!

This weekend in Nashville, Lainey Wilson played a double-header at Ascend Amphitheater, and brought out Miranda Lambert for a couple of songs!

First off, they traded vocals on Miranda’s first big single “Kerosense”:

Well, hot damn!

And then they did their forthcoming duet “Good Horses”, which I absolutely CANNOT wait for the studio version:

Seriously, is there a better combo than Lainey and Miranda?

I’ll wait.

Both artists have new music coming out- Miranda is currently working on her new project with her new label Republic Records, and Lainey’s next album “Whirlwind” comes out August 23rd.

Hopefully “Good Horses” is on it!

Wynonna Judd and Lainey Wilson “Refugee”

We’re getting closer to the release of the Tom Petty Country tribute album “Petty Country”, and to get us ready, Wynonna Judd just released her verison of “Refugee” with Lainey Wilson!

Of course, it’s fantastic.

Really, how could it not be?

I absolutely LOVE that! I’m sure Tom Petty would approve.

The mix of their voices is perfect- Wynonna still has it, and Lainey’s unmistakable twang just adds the punch this version needs.

Lainey Wilson “Hang Tight Honey”

Lainey Wilson just made Monday a little sweeter…

She just dropped a new song off her upcoming album “Whirlwind”, and it’s a feisty one.

It’s called “Hang Tight Honey” and it’s exactly what I had hoped for:

Yes! I love it! Lainey Wilson is on a hot streak, and shows no signs of slowing down.

Her new album “Whirlwind” comes out August 23rd, and she has also announced her own bar “Bell Bottoms Up” which will be taking over the FGL House off of Broadway in Nashville.

You know you’re killing the Country game when you get your own bar in Nashville.

Lainey Wilson “Wildflowers and Wild Horses” Demo

Lainey Wlson is topping the Country charts this week with her latest single (and my favorite of hers) “Wildflowers and Wild Horses”.

But what about the demo?

Woahhhhh…

Songwriter Paul Sikes posted the original demo on instagram yesterday in honor of the song going #1:

Oooooohhh… all the chills right there.

Thank you, Paul, Trannie Anderson, and Lainey Wilson for writing such a fantastic song. Definitely one of my favorites!

Also, Lainey is everywhere these days, and is geting her own Hulu Documentary on May 29th, and she’s opening her own bar in downtown Nashville where the FGL House used to be.

Woman is on FIRE!

Keith Urban and Lainey Wilson “Go Home W U”

Man, we’re getting all kinds of new music today!

Not only did we get the new Miranda Lambert “Wranglers”, but also the Keith Urban/Lainey Wilson collab “Go Home W U”.

Damn. It’s a great day for Country Music!

And “Go Home W U” is the perfect Summer party song:

I’m digging it. Then again, Lainey Wilson can do no wrong in my book.

Keith Urban is working on a new album, and you can bet that will be on it! That being said, so is Lainey.

So, basically, we have a lot of new music coming our way.

Buckle up, Buttercup!

ERNEST Featuring Lainey Wilson “I Would If I Could”

One of my favorite up-and-coming artists in Nahville is ERNEST.

He is incredibly talented as a singer and songwriter, and is funny as Hell.

Yesterday, he dropped a new album called “Nashville, TN’ which has 26 tracks, and a boatload of collabs with everyone from Morgan Wallen to HARDY to Lainey Wilson.

And let me tell you, the track with Lainey on it, called “I Woud if I Could” is what 90’s Country Dreams are made of:

How perfect is that? It sounds like it would have totally fit in on Country Radio in 1994, and that’s a beautiful thing.

I really hope Countey Music keeps trending in this direction. We have some really great artists in Nashville right now, and they are doing the damn thing!

Also, last year, I got a chance to chat with ERNEST and he’s the best:

That being said, here’s my interview with Lainey as well.
Because I have to flex:

Have I mentioned that I love my job?
Just a little?

Lainey Wilson and Chris Tomlin Perform a Beautiful Rendition of “Amazing Grace”

Well, this just gave me all the goosebumps…

This past Good Friday, Lainey Wilson made a surprise appearance at popular Christian artist Chris Tomlin’s show at Bridgestone Arena in Nashville for a performance of “Amazing Grace”, and it was just as good as you would think it would be:

Well, ok!  That song never fails to give me chills, but you put Lainey on it, and it’s just… wow.

Perhaps a Gospel album is in her future?

If not, it totally should be!

Lainey has a big year coming up, and you can get all the tour dates at http://LaineyWilson.com
