Kacey Musgraves “Too Good to be True”

Well, this was a pleasant surprise…

Kacey Musgraves just released her second single off of her upcoming “Deeper Well” album today- I wasn’t expecting i until tomorrow, but hey, I’m not mad at it!

And of course, the song is beautiful, like every other song she releases.

It’s called “Too Good To Be True”, and it’s about the glow of an early relationship when everything is perfect, and you’re waiting for that oher shoe to drop, so to speak:

I just absolutely love her voice. So simple and pure, as is her music.

Her new album “Deeper Well”, in which she returns to her Country roots (good!)- comes out March 15th. Kacey also just announced her “Deeper Well” world tour, and you can get dates and other info at http://kaceymusgraves.com

Both she and Justin Timberlake are releasing new albums on March 15th.

It’s gonna be a great day for new music!

Ashley McBryde “Devil I Know”

Ashley McBryde is one of my favorite artists- not just in Country- but in all the genres.

She is a fantastic vocalist, writer, and just as real as they come.

Also, if you have ever seen her live, you would know just how special she is.

She just announced her new radio single, “Devil I Know” and if you haven’t heard it yet, here ya go:

I’m so happy she chose this song- the title track of her latest album- to be her next single. It is one of my favorites off of her latest project.

Also, here she is performing it live:

Told you she slays live.

Check out her tour dates, and more info on her music at https://www.ashleymcbryde.com/

Country star Dierks Bentley just released his version of “American Girl” ahead of the album release courtesy of BLMG and it’s really good:

Solid work!

I do love me some Dierks, and he definitely did the song justice.

Eddie Vedder and Post Malone Peform “Better Man” for Charity

Earlier this month, Eddie Vedder and his wife Jill held a benefit at the Humble Baron at Nearest Green Distillery in Shelbyville, TN for the EBResearchPartnership which supports funding research to treat and cure Epidermolysis Bullosa (EB).

The event raised over 1 million dollars for the cause, which isn’t shocking with performances like this one featuring Eddie Vedder and Post Malone on “Better Man”- my favorite Pearl Jam song!

How great was that? Seriously, I’m becoming more and more of a Post Malone fan every day.

Also, Eddie still sounds great.

This whole thing just made my heart happy!

Ok, soooo…. a Post Malone/Eddie Vedder offical collab now, please?  Just putting that out into the universe…

Billy Joel “Turn The Lights Back On” Official Music Video

Billy Joel is back on the Billboard Hot 100 Chart for the first time in decades with his first single in 31 years ‘Turn the Lights Back On”.  The release was well worth the wait, as it is a great song, and classic Billy Joel, really.  He even performed it at The Grammy Awards a couple of weeks ago to a well-deserved standing ovation.

Well, it just go better with his music video for “Turn the Lights Back On”- now THIS was a great use of AI, as it’s basically Billy Joel throught the years performing the same song:

Ok, for some reason I started tearing up at this.

My entire life, I’ve loved Billy Joel- he has always been a staple- and seeing this is strangely poignant.

Maybe I’m just emotional this morning, or just feeling my middle age, but this video hit me hard.

Dammit, Billy Joel.

But seriously, how great is this video?

I’m totally down with AI if it’s used like this.

Kelly Clarkson “Save Me”

Ok, I admit it. I am living for “Kellyoke” these days.

Seriously, I love seeing Kelly Clarkson’s take on different songs, and she hasn’t failed us yet.

Her latest effort? Covering the Jelly Roll hit “Save Me”.

I have a thousand and three chill bumps after this.

I mean, damn, how good is that?

And Jelly Roll, naturally, was extremely impressed as well, as he expressed on his socials:

Having Kelly cover your song on her show has to be a double-edged sword, though.

It’s great that she deemed a song great enough to cover, sure, but she’ll also sing it better than anyone else ever could.

Girlfriend sets the bar HIGH.

What song would you like to see Kelly Clarkson cover?

Pearl Jam “Dark Matter”

We knew we were getting new Pearl Jam soon, and lead singer Eddie Vedder said to expect a “harder” sound on this record, which, I was prety pumped for.

Well… got a pleasant surprise this morning when they dropped the title track of their 12th studio album “Dark Matter”, and it kills.

Damn. That’s good.

It’s reminds me of the early Pearl Jam days, which is not a bad thing.

Now, honestly, I’ve not always been the biggest Pearl Jam fan- I like some of their songs, but I don’t worship at the altar of Eddie Vedder like some of my friends do, but I appreciate them as a band, and this new single is really badass.

Rock isn’t dead.

Sorry Gene Simmons.

Pearl Jam’s new album “Dark Matter” drops April 19th, and you can find out more at http://pearljam.com

Beyonce Goes Country!

In case you missed it with all of the excitement of the Super Bowl last night, Beyonce announced her Country album- yes, a Beyonce Country album- due out March 29th.

It’s Part 2 of her “Renaissance” project, which started back in 2022 with her dance album.

Queen Bey released two songs off of the project, and you know what?

I’m kind of digging it.

“Texas Hold ‘Em” is definitely my favorite of the two:

This has been in my head all day since I heard it his morning, and yeah, I think it’s a hit. Will it end up on Country Radio?

Hmmmm… that’s a tough one.  We’ll see.

I personally love it, but it seems like I have more of an open mind when it comes to music than a lot of traditional Country fans.

I think that it’s a really cool, unique song, and I would like to see it go somewhere. Again, we’ll see.

Here’s her other single “16 Carriages”:

Personally, I like “Texas Hold ‘Em” Better. But, still, solid effort from Beyonce, and honestly, I’m looking forward to hearing her Counry album “Act II” out March 29th.

Yeah, totally did not have this on my 2024 Bingo Card.

HARDY “ROCKSTAR”

One of the biggest stars in Country Music right now is HARDY.  Singer/Songwiter and one hell of a performer, this guy has had a massive few years.  And he also had a recent Rock hit with “Jack” which went #1 on the Mainstream Rock charts last year.

Well, he just announced his first full-length Rock album (details coming soon), and he released the first single off of it called “ROCKSTAR” this morning, and no, it’s not a Nickleback cover…

It IS pretty dang awesome, though, and it has one of the best music videos I’ve seen in a long time.

SO much YES right there.

Great song, great video, and great artist.

The trifecta, kiddos!

Can’t WAIT for the full album!

Terry Fator “We Are the World” Puppet Tribute

Terry Fator- in case you weren’t aware- is a ventriloquist, comedian and singer who has won “America’s Got Talent” and has his own Las Vegas show.  The man is crazy talented in so many ways, and he just did a Puppet Tribute to “We Are the World” that left me speechless. That, my friend, is hard to do.

Check this awesomeness out:

I wasn’t sure wha to expect, but that exceeded any and all expectations that I had going in.

I’m a HUGE fan of “We Are the World”, and when I saw this pop up on my YouTube watch list, curiosity got the best of me, and I’m so glad that it did!

Find out more about Terry Fator and what he does at http://TerryFator.com

Also, I highly suggest you check out the We Are the World documentary “The Greatest Night in Pop” on Netflix now!
