Morgan Wallen “I’m the Problem”

As promised, Morgan Wallen released his new single “I’m the Problem”- the title track to his new album- this morning.

And yeah, it’s pretty damn good:

Seriously, Morgan has the Midas Touch these past few years, and if he can keep himself out of trouble, who knows how far he can go?

He’s got a new album and tour coming, and you can stay up to date with all he’s got going on at http://morganwallen.com

Love him, hate him, or even if you’re not a huge Country fan, you kind of have to admit that he’s got something.

I can’t put my finger on it, but he has it.

Kane Brown and Katelyn Brown “Do Us Apart”

This past Friday, Kane Brown released his latest album “The High Road”, which is full of collabs- which is the thing lately- he’s got everyone from Brad Paisley to Jelly Roll on his new release. And, like his last album, he has tapped his incredibly vocally talented wife Katelyn for two duets. One- called “Do Us Apart” is really pretty, and has more a traditional Country sound than a lot of Kane Brown’s songs.

I’m just in love with Katelyn’s voice. She was an aspiring singer prior to marrying Kane, and holy smokes, she’s good!

Now, the song reminds me a lot of Cody Johnson and Carrie Underwood’s duet that’s on the radio now called “I’m Gonna Love You”, but I almost like this one better. It just has a cool vibe to it. And honestly, I like Kane Brown’s voice and style better when he’s keeping it more traditional and not getting too Pop/Hip Hop with it. But that’s just what I prefer style-wise, as 90’s Country is what I grew up on.

Another song I like on Kane’s new album is his latest radio single “Backseat Driver”, which as a toddler mom, I can totally appreciate:

Again, a more traditional Country sound with this one. Yes, I’m old school.

Luke Combs Debuts New Song Live in Auckland!

Luke Combs is currently on the road overseas with Jordan Davis, Mitchell Tenpenny and Lane Pittman, and they just did a stop in Auckland, New Zealand where Luke debuted a new song.

The song- which it seems is titled “Ain’t No Cowboy” – it’s a true heartbreak banger, which is what Luke does best:

Ok, Luke needs to release that, like, yesterday.

Hopefully this means new music from Luke Combs soon?

In the meantime, find out where he’s gonna be next at http://Lukecombs.com

Meghan Patrick “Golden Child”

I have a feeling that 2025 is going to be Meghan Patrick’s year.

Now, Meghan, hailing from Ontario, has been on the scene for quite some time, and has been getting a lot of attention as of late for her gritty and real Country sound.

She released her album “Golden Child” back in October, and the title track has cracked the Mediabase Top 50, and I have a feeling you will be hearing a lot more of it on your radio soon.

Check out “Golden Child” below:

Pretty dang good, am I right?

Here are the full lyrics:

“If I could send a letter back in timeTo younger me in her wilder daysA daydreamer with her head in the skyAnd always learning the hard way
I bet she’d think she knows better than meBut that’s just part of her charmNah, you couldn’t tell her anythingNothing stubborn as her and her heartBut I’d tell her while you’re reaching for the stars
Just be careful what you wish for honeyYou never know it might come trueDon’t be tempted by the easy moneyIt might cost more than you’re willing to loseThe same thing that takes the edge offIt can take the shine off after a whileSo wear your diamonds on the inside‘Cause everything that glitters ain’t golden, child
They’re gonna love you for the things you doBut not for who you areSo don’t go trading in your ride or diesFor the cool kids down at the bar
The time will come when you fall in lustAnd it’ll look like loveUntil it knocks you right down in the dustBut know that you’ll get back upYeah, know that you’re more than enough
Just be careful what you wish for honeyYou never know it might come trueDon’t be tempted by the easy moneyIt might cost more than you’re willing to lose (ah)The same thing that takes the edge offIt can take the shine off after a whileSo wear your diamonds on the inside (inside)‘Cause everything that glitters ain’t golden, child, ooh-ooh
Just be careful what you wish for honeyYou never know it might come trueDon’t be tempted by the easy moneyIt might cost more than you’re willing to lose (ah)The same thing that takes the edge offIt can take the shine off after a whileSo wear your diamonds on the inside (inside)‘Cause everything that glitters ain’t golden, childEverything that glitters ain’t golden, child, ooh-ooh
If I could send a letter back in timeTo younger me in her wilder daysI’d let her know that she’s doing just fineAnd everything’s gonna be okay”
Songwriters: Joey Hyde / Aaron James Eshuis / Meghan Sylvia Patrick
Seriously, though, such a great song, and I can definitely relate.
Heck, I think anyone who has lived just a litle bit of life can.
As I mentioned earlier,  I have a strong feeling that 2025 is going to be her year… get ready!

Ashley McBryde “Ain’t Enough Cowboy Songs”

Ashley McBryde is the real deal.

She has been one of my favorite Country artists for years, and has one of the most pure Country voices as well as an incredible talent for songwriting. She’s definitely underrated as far as I’m concerned. And live? Unfreakingbelieveable.

Like, truly, flawless.

You’ll get to experience her flawlessness while she’s on the road with Cody Johnson for the next few months, and she just dropped a new single for you to enjoy called “Ain’t Enough Cowboy Songs” and it’s pretty dang flawless, too:

Dammmnnnn…

Yep, adding it to my playlist now!

No word on if Ashley is working on a new album, which is usually the case when an artist randomly releases a song. But my fingers are crossed for a follow up to “The Devil I Know” in the near future.

In the meantime, get more music and her tour dates wth Cody Johnson at https://www.ashleymcbryde.com/tour

Morgan Wallen “Love Somebody” Live at Neyland Stadium!

Morgan Wallen released one hell of a new song last Friday called “Love Somebody”, and I swear, it’s been in my head in heavy rotation this past week.

Well, Morgan just released an official live video of him performing “Love Somebody” at one of his shows at the famed Neyland Stadium in Knoxville, TN. He performed to over 150,000 fans over two days setting an attendance record, and it only made sense to release a live video, right?

Enjoy:

Morgan Wallen always brings it live, and there’s a reason why his recent “One Night at a Time” tour is now the biggest selling Country Music tour of all time.

OF ALL TIME.

Damn, son.

That’s no joke right there.

And…. he’s working on a new album, so stay tuned.

If “Love Somebody” is any indication, it’s gonna be another record-breaker.

Sorry, haters, Morgan is here to stay.

Morgan Wallen “Love Somebody”

How about new Morgan Wallen to kick off the Friday?

He’s been teasing a song called “Love Somebody” for months now, and it’s finally here, and like almost all of Morgan’s music, it does not disappoint:

Pretty dang good, right?

Morgan Wallen released a statement about the song, which will be off his upcoming 4th studio album:  “Love Somebody’ is a little bit of a new approach lyrically and sonically. I wanted to try something different, with what I wanted to talk about, how I wanted it to sound, and we were inspired by Latin-leaning influences. I’m really excited about this song and pumped that it is out.”
Kudos to Morgan and his songwriting team. They clearly made another hit.

Again, Morgan is working on his 4th studio album… no release date or any other info on it at this time, but trust that it’s going to be another banger.

In the meantime, Morgan is on the road, selling out shows, and you can get more info, dates, etc at https://morganwallen.com/

Kelsea Ballerini “First Rodeo”

Kelsea Ballerini is getting ready to release her new album “Patterns” next Friday, October 25th, and like most artists, these throwing out a few songs early to get you ready.

Her new song “First Rodeo” is perfection.

Check it out with the new official video:

I have to hand it to Kelsea… she has really come into her own as an artist. I wasn’t that big of a fan in the mid 2010’s when she was all over the airwaves with hits like “Yeah, Boy” and “Love Me Like You Mean It”, but she has certainly grown as both a songwriter and a vocalist. Also, she looks like Taylor Swift and Carrie Underwood had a baby. I’m not wrong here.

Again, Kelsea’s new album “Patterns” drops October 25th, and you get can tour dates and more info at https://www.kelseaballerini.com/home

Tim McGraw “People Like Us”

Tim McGraw just released a new song which I feel is very important to what most of America is going through today.

As a divided nation, this couldn’t have come at a better time, which I’m guessing is why he released it just now.

Check out “People Like Us”:

Look, I’m not going to get into politics… I just think if we be kinder to each other and try to understand where the other is coming from, we could make way more headway as a nation, regardless of how we vote.

We, once again, are more divided than ever as a nation, and it’s depressing.

I don’t stand with either party… I’m just sitting here, with my glass of wine, wondering how we got here, for the millionth time.

Did we not learn anything?

Clearly not.

Just a reminder that “together we stand, divided we fall”, and to not be a dillweed.

We are all humans, just trying to get by.

That being said, don’t be a jackwagon, ok?

ERNEST “Would If I Could”

One of my favorite newer artists in Country Music is singer/songwriter ERNEST who has had a couple of #1 hits with Morgan Wallen- “Flower Shops” and “Cowgirls”- and both are well-deserving of the top spot.

A few months ago, ERNEST released a stellar song with Lainey Wilson called “Would if I Could”, and in case you missed it, here’s their collab:

Such a great song, with the true 90’s Country vibe that I have always loved. Welll… ERNEST just released  a solo version of “Would if I Could”, and I think it’s even better than the duet:

Damn. That is totally giving Tracy Lawrence. I love it!!!

Which version do you like better?

Also, kudos to Dean Dillon and Skip Ewing II for writing a true Country song.

If you want more info on ERNEST, here ya go: https://ernestofficial.com/

You can also check out his latest album “Nashville, TN” out now.

Can’t wait for more from this guy!
