Prince “With This Tear”

10 years ago today, we lost the iconic artist Prince.

To commemorate the occasion and to honor the legend, Prince’s estate put out a previously unreleased song from the vault called “With This Tear” which Prince had recorded in 1991:

Dang.

I’m really loving that.

What an incredible talent gone too soon.

Also, how has it been 10 years already?

Oh, and fun fact: Prince offered “With This Tear” to Celine Dion, who then recorded it, and put it on her debut album in 1992.

Wild, right?

Here’s her version:

Prince’s version will be on an upcoming Vault album, which will be coming out in the future.

A “Celebration of Life” will be held at Paisley Park in June.

Kacey Musgraves “Middle of Nowhere”

Ok, I’m all about Kacey Musgraves getting back to her roots and putting out REAL Country Music again.

Her last couple of albums weren’t my favorites, but hey, you have to experiment.

I get it.

Thankfully, Kacey is back in the Country groove with the title track to her new album “Middle of Nowhere”:

Yesss to ALL of it.

The lyrics, subject matter, unique chord structure… all the things.

And being from literally The Middle of Nowhere, I get it.

I’d rather be there, too.

Kacey Musgraves’s new album “Middle of Nowhere” drops May 1st, and yeah, I’m more than a little excited.

Ella Langley and Miranda Lambert “Butterfly Season”

Yesterday, Ella Langley dropped her highly anticipated Sophomore album “Dandelion”, and it’s just a great as I had hoped it would be.

One of my favorites on the record?

Her collab with fellow baddie Miranda Lambert on a beautiful, uplifting song called “Butterfly Season”.

Ahhhhh! It’s perfect.

You really can’t go wrong with Ella and Miranda Lambert. They did co-write the biggest song of the year, “Choosin’ Texas”, after all.

We all need a Butterfly Season or five, am I right?
Ella’s new album “Dandelion” is out now, and this is just the start of amazing things to come for her.

Michael Jackson Biopic Trailer

The Michael Jackson biopic, simply called “Michael”, is almost here!

The latest trailer has just been released, and it looks pretty dang good.

Of course, it’s just 60 seconds of the best clips, but still, I’m kind of curious.

Michael Jackson is portrayed by his nephew Jafar Jackson, who obviously looks and sounds a whole lot like him.

It’s in the blood, after all.

“Michael” hits theaters- finally, as production has been delayed quite a bit- on April 24th.

Lainey Wilson and Brandon Lake “The Jesus I Know Now”

Happy Easter!

I figured that I would share this new song by Christian artist Brandon Lake and Country Superstar Lainey Wilson.

It just came out a couple of days ago, and it’s a perfect song for today.

It’s called “The Jesus I Know Now”, and even if you’re not the most religious person, I feel like many will relate:

What a unique take on a Christian song.

I went to church as a young teen, and perhaps it was that particular church that wasn’t a good fit, but I stayed away from organized religion due to that experience.

But I have always believed, and do my best to live my life as He would want me to. Basically, just trying to be a good human. Which doesn’t always mean you have to be perfect.

Just try your best to be a good person and be kind.

I like how this song is more of a relatable Christian song… growing up it was hellfire and brimstone. Walk the line or you’re not saved.

But now it’s a different relationship. Belief and not fear, if that makes sense.

I hope you and your family are having a wonderful Easter!

Jo Dee Messina Interview!

Eeeeeek!

Ok, not gonna lie… I totally fangirled out when I found out that I was going to get to interview one of my absolute FAVORITE artists in Country Music- Jo Dee Messina- this week!

I’ve been a fan since the first time I had hear “Heads Carolina, Tails California” in the 90’s, and she is back in a big way in 2026.

Good.

Check out what she’s got going on below:

How fun is she? I just love her even more now.

Also, check out her new single “Some Bridges”:

Classic Jo Dee.

And yes, there are some bridges that just need burned down.

She’s not wrong.

“Some Bridges” is off of her first studio album in over a decade “Bridges” which comes out this Summer.

Ella Langley “Choosin’ Texas” Official Video

FINALLY we get an official music video for Ella Langley’s smash hit “Choosin’ Texas”, and it does NOT disappoint.

“Choosin’ Texas” is the biggest selling song of 2026 so far out of ALL the genres, which is a massive win for Ella Langley and Country Music in general.

So, it makes sense that the video is pretty big as well.

Starring Luke Grimes, Miranda Lambert and Kaitlin Butts, it’s one that will be racking up millions of views.

Enjoy:

LOVEEEE!

It’s a good way for Ella to start getting a bit into acting as well.

She’s a big Country star now. TV and movies are next. Then a bar on Broadway.

That’s how the script goes.
Also, this video comes out just in time to garner more buzz for Ella’s upcoming Sophomore album “Dandelion” which comes out next Friday.

I have a feeling it’s going to be one of the biggest releases of the year.

Calling it now.
