MTV VMA Ozzy Ozbourne Tribute

Last night was the 2025 MTV Video Music Awards- basically the one night of the year that MTV actually has music.

Here’s what stood out to me- YUNGBLOOD, Steven Tyler, Joe Perry and Nuno Bettencourt paying tribute to the late Metal icon Ozzy Osbourne.

This is pretty damn good- enjoy:

First off- YUNGBLOOD killed it.

And how great was it to see Steven Tyler and Joe Perry sharing the stage again? Steven has had major vocal chord issues, resulting in the cancellation of Aerosmith’s Farewell tour. But I think he sounded great, considering his condition.

Oh, and according to Joe Perry- the famed Aerosmith guitarist- Aerosmith will most likely share the stage at least one more time. Not a full-blown tour as originally planned, but any Aerosmith is better than none.

Rock on!

Metallica, Rick James and Ozzy Mash-Up

Is this necessary?

No.

But is it awesome?

Yes.

One of my favorite creators, Bill McClintock, did a mash-up of Metallica, Rick James and Ozzy, and somehow, it magically works.

I wish I had a millionth of the creativity that Bill McClintock has.

I so enjoy these mash-ups.

Not sure what that says about my mental state, but it is what it is.

Rod Stewart’s Bizarre Tribute to Ozzy Osbourne

Well, this is…special?

After Metal legend Ozzy Osbourne’s passing a few weeks ago, tributes have been pouring in.

Perhaps the most memorable so far?

Rod Stewart’s.

On the day of Ozzy’s passing, Rod did a tribute by dedicating his Bob Dylan cover “Forever Young” to him.

Well, he decided to go a little further this past weekend at his show in Atlanta.

He added an AI twist that noone ever asked for.

Just watch:

@iamsloanesteel Last night I went to a Rod Stewart concert and he played this “tribute” to Ozzy. The selfie sticks in heaven?!! XXXTentacion?! #ozzyosbourne #rodstewart #XXXTentacion ♬ original sound – Sloane Steel

WTFFFF?

I mean, props for creativity, I guess?

Did we really need this?

I can’t be the only one mildly creeped out by this, right?

What do you think… cool idea? Or just really freaking wierd?

I may have nightmares now.

Ozzy Osbourne’s “Crazy Train” as a Bluegrass Song!

With the passing of the Rock and Metal legend Ozzy Osbourne last week, so many tributes have been pouring in.

As they should be.

One that got my attention was a new cover of Ozzy’s “Crazy Train” done in Bluegrass style by singer and stage actress Robin Adele Anderson and E.W Harris, and one hell of a bluegrass band.

I’m kind of digging this:

The musicianship in that version is badass.

Kudos to all involved!

Carrie Underwood Covering Ozzy’s “Mama I’m Coming Home”

The Rock and Metal community is reeling from the loss of the iconic Ozzy Osbourne, and tributes are everywhere.

As they should be. Dude was a freaking LEGEND.

One performance is making the internet rounds this week is actually a performance that happened a couple of years ago on “The Howard Stern Show” where Country star Carrie Underwood performed Ozzy’s “Mama, I’m Coming Home” and slayed it.

Ok, so maybe she doesn’t rock near as hard as Ozzy, but it’s a pretty cool rendition, and definitely worthy.

I love that Carrie Underwood is a big Rock fan, and can turn it up to 11 when needs to, like when she opened up for Guns N’ Roses on tour recently.

Anyhow, I enjoyed that this morning, and hopefully you did as well.

RIP Ozzy.

There will never be another…

Ozzy Osbourne “Mama, I’m Coming Home” Final Performance

Ozzy Osbourne passed away today at 76 years old.

No, this is not fake news.

It really happened.

I feel like he really knew that the end was near at his farewell performance on July 5th, especially after his performance of “Mama, I’m Coming Home”.

Try not to choke up:

Ughhhh… I still can’t believe he’s gone.

Rest easy, Ozzy. You are already so missed…

Britney Spears in the Style of Ozzy Osbourne

Ok, gotta give a big shout out to Tony L Page for alerting me of the existence of this.

The insanely talented and creative Anthony Vincent- who is hige on YouTube as he should be- just did a version of Britney Spear’s breakout hit “Baby One More Time” in the style of Ozzy Osbourne, and somehow, it works:

I can totally get down with that.

You’re welcome.
