Is it hot in here, or is it just this damn music video?
Country hotties Carly Pearce and Riley Green have teamed up for a sexy new song called, “If I Don’t Leave I’m Gonna Stay”.
The song is, in my opinion, just ok.
But the video?
Get ready for some thirst trap action:
Well, ok then…
Between this and Kacey Musgrave’s “Dry Spell” that came out this past week, Country Music is getting all kinds of sexy over here.
And before you go thinking that Carly and Riley are hooking up, they’re not. At least that I know of. Carly is very openly showing off her new boyfriend on instagram.
Although, when I saw her last April, she did say that Riley Green is the “most beautiful man”.
The Grammy-award winning Country artist has been teasing new music this past week, and just dropped her saucy new song “Dry Spell” and a hilariously innuendo-filled video.
Enjoy:
LOVE IT!
And being an Army wife in the middle of a deployment, yeah, I relate.
I really love this version of Kacey- the funny, offbeat, and controversial Kacey rather than the Acid-tripping, introspective Kacey.
I mean, all versions of her are great, but this is where I love her best. I’m also digging the more natural look. She got the lip fillers out, and is showing off her ridiculous natural beauty.
Only she can make a camo hoodie, basketball shorts, socks and sandals look hot AF.
And, of course, with this new song comes a new album with collabs with Miranda Lambert, Willie Nelson and Billy Strings.
So, basically, it’s going to be Epic.
Kacey’s new album “Middle of Nowhere” comes out May 1st, and I, for one, cannot wait.
Pop star P!nk filled in for Kelly Clarkson as the host of “The Kelly Clarkson Show” this past week, and like Kelly always does, she covers different songs in each episode. Instead of “Kellyoke” she called it “Cameo-oke” and did one heck of a version of Cyndi Lauper’s 80’s ballad “Time After Time”.
She pretty much nailed it:
I’ve always loved that song, and P!nk did her own thing on it, and made it her own.
Her voice is just next level.
Andddd… the rumor is that P!nk very well could be replacing Kelly when she leaves the show after it’s current 7th season. Hence, why she’s filling in- kind of a trial run with NBC.
Ok, ya’ll know I’m on my Ella Langley kick, and rightfully so.
Woman is KILLLLING it right now.
Last night, Ella Langley was a part of the Grand Ole Opry’s 50th Years With Ronnie Milsap celebration, and she took to the stage to perform a few of his many hits, including one of my favorites, “I Wouldn’t Have Missed it for the World’.
I am SO glad Ella is getting her well-deserved moment in music, and hopefully she’ll be around a long time.
I remember years ago, some Country Music programmer made headlines saying that women were just “tomatoes” in the Country Music Salad.
My then programmer in Manhattan, KS agreed. Oddly enough, he’s not in radio anymore.
Funny that.
Women aren’t the tomatoes. They’re the damn steak AND the ranch, and I’m glad artists like Ella Langley, Lainey Wilson, Megan Moroney and many others are proving it.
Alysa Liu completely EARNED the Olympic Gold Medal in Milan in Women’s Figure Skating. She had retired at 16 after finishing 6th in Beijing. She was burned out, and for two years did whatever she wanted. She came back two years ago with a fresh attitude and outlook and wanted to skate to show her art, not to win medals.
Well, she did both last night.
I literally cried watching her.
Her joy was as apparent as her skill on the ice. THIS is how you do life.
She’s like Taylor Swift on blades with a frenulum piercing.
Jelly Roll continues his roll with a love song that he released over Valentine’s Day weekend called “Thorns”, and it’s pretty dang good.
Usually Jelly Roll’s Country songs have been about redemption, getting through the bad times, that kind of stuff… so it’s cool to hear an actual love song from him.
Check it out below:
Obviously, that’s about his wife Bunnie XO.
I like it. I like hearing a different side of Jelly Roll.
Does the new song signify a new album on the way? Not sure. Probably… it’s about time, so stay tuned.
In the meantime, you have Jelly Roll on the road with Post Malone on the “Big Ass Stadium Tour” this Summer.
