Alysa Liu Olympic Gold Medal Performance!

Now THIS is how you do it.

Alysa Liu completely EARNED the Olympic Gold Medal in Milan in Women’s Figure Skating. She had retired at 16 after finishing 6th in Beijing. She was burned out, and for two years did whatever she wanted. She came back two years ago with a fresh attitude and outlook and wanted to skate to show her art, not to win medals.

Well, she did both last night.

I literally cried watching her.

Her joy was as apparent as her skill on the ice. THIS is how you do life.

She’s like Taylor Swift on blades with a frenulum piercing.

We can all learn something from Alysa Liu.

Jelly Roll “Thorns”

Jelly Roll continues his roll with a love song that he released over Valentine’s Day weekend called “Thorns”, and it’s pretty dang good.

Usually Jelly Roll’s Country songs have been about redemption, getting through the bad times, that kind of stuff… so it’s cool to hear an actual love song from him.

Check it out below:

Obviously, that’s about his wife Bunnie XO.

I like it. I like hearing a different side of Jelly Roll.

Does the new song signify a new album on the way? Not sure. Probably… it’s about time, so stay tuned.

In the meantime, you have Jelly Roll on the road with Post Malone on the “Big Ass Stadium Tour” this Summer.

That’s a whole lotta ink for one stage.

Ella Langley “Be Her”

Ella Langley is on one hell of a hot streak!

She just dropped her new song off her upcoming album “Dandelion” called “Be Her”, and it’s super-catchy and relatable.

Haven’t all of us women been there, though?

Just feeling like you don’t have your stuff together, and there’s always that one person who seems like they do.

Now that I’m in my 40’s, I know that the ones who seem like they have it all figured out usually don’t. They just fake it really well.

I seriously cannot wait for the full album, and after hearing “Be Her” and “Dandelion” off of it, you know it’s going to be amazing.

“Dandelion” comes out April 10th, and you can get more info, tour dates, etc. at http://ellalangley.com

Kelly Daniels “The Farrier”

A couple of weeks ago, I had the chance to chat with Country artist Kelly Daniels when he came to town, and he played a song for me called “The Farrier” which was about to drop.

Of course, being a horse girl, I was all ears when I heard that title, and when he played it live, I was NOT disappointed:

For those who don’t know what a farrier is (bless your sweet little hearts) it’s someone who shoes horses, as well as takes care of their hooves.  An “Equine Manicurist” if you will.

The song is based on a true story when Kelly was playing a rodeo, and met a farrier who was hot shoeing a horse, and they got to talking and had a heart-to-heart, and that’s how that song came about.

Pretty cool, right?

Also, here’s my genuine reaction after hearing this song for the first time:

Ahhhh.. this made my heart so happy. Also, the song was released on my birthday, so that makes it extra special, right?

I just wanted to share this song and artist with you, as I think they are worth a listen.

Also, Kelly Daniels’ EP – also called “The Farrier” is out now, so add it to your playlist!

Ozzy Osbourne Full Grammy Tribute

This past Sunday night it was the 2026 Grammy Awards, and it was… The Grammys.

Lots of politics, bad red carpet fashion, save for a few, some meh performances, some weird ones (hello, Justin Bieber) and then there are always a few gems amongst the strangeness that is The Grammys.

The Ozzy Osbourne tribute was by far the best part of the night.

Post Malone, Duff McKagan, Slash, Chad Smith, and Andrew Watt.

They did one hell of a job in my opinion.

Enjoy:

Can we have more of this at The Grammy’s please?

More entertainment, and less “WTF did I just watch?” moments.

That’s all I want.

Sincerely,

A Music Lover

Ella Langley “Dandelion”

2026 is Ella Langley’s YEAR.

Earlier this week, Ella announced her sophomore album “Dandelion”, and just released the title track today, and I’m obsessed.

I’ve already played it about a dozen times.

Definitely one of those “Love at first listen” songs:

Absolutely love it.

And damn, do I relate to it!

Ella Langley has it all. Sexy unique voice, mad writing skills, relatable and a total knock-out.

She’s just getting started…

Ella’s new album “Dandelion” drops April 10th, and she’ll be opening for Morgan Wallen this year on his “Still the Problem” tour.

HARDY, Morgan Wallen, Eric Church and Tim McGraw “McArthur”

Dude.

This song is something else.

HARDY, Morgan Wallen, Eric Church and Tim McGraw teamed up for a song called “McArthur”, and it’s as good as I had hoped it would be.

“When you pass on, what you gonna pass down?”

Anyone else getting “Highwayman” vibes from this?

Something we should all be asking ourselves, always.

We need more of this in Country Music.

That being said, I have a feeling that this year is going to be another BIG year for Country.

Buckle up, buttercup!

Budweiser Superbowl Ad 2026 “American Icons”

It doesn’t get any more America than this.

Budweiser just released their 2026 Super Bowl ad and it’s got me all in the feels.

It’s called “American Icons” and involves a baby Clydesdale and an Eagle, because what else do you really need?

Yeah, definitely something in my eye as well.

Say what you will about Budweiser, they know how to deliver a damn good commercial.

Then again, anything with horses in it… I’m in!

Zach Top SLAYS the “National Anthem”

Now THIS is how it’s done…

Country Star Zach Top- who I absolutely adore- sang the “National Anthem” prior to the NFC Championship Game last night.

The Seahawks won, and so did Zach Top with his rendition.

Damn, son.

He just did that beautifully.

Zach Top is here to save Country Music.

Definitely one of the best “National Anthems” in recent times.

Can we get more Country Music in the NFL? Please?

Dolly Parton “Light of a Blue Clear Morning”

What a combination!

Dolly Parton has re-recorded her song “Light of a Blue Clear Morning” with Reba, Lainey Wilson, Miley Cyrus and Queen Latifah.

Dolly did this project to celebrate her 80th birthday, which is Monday, the 19th. And the best part? All proceeds go towards pediatric cancer research.

I honestly can’t think of a better cause.

Loveee!

How about Miley Cyrus, though? That woman continues to impress me more and more every time I hear her.

Again, all proceeds go to the pediatric cancer research at Monroe Carell Jr. Children’s Hospital at Vanderbilt in Nashville.
Add it to your playlist, and do some good!

Dolly for president, ya’ll!
