Luke Combs is gearing up for a new album in 2026… and he just dropped a song that you’re going to be hearing at weddings for the next few decades at least.
It’s called “Giving Her Away”, and it’s a fresh twist on your typical Father/Daughter wedding song dynamic:
Well, ok.
Not my contact lenses getting all itchy with tears.
Luke Combs never misses… pretty much everything he outs out hits the mark.
He’s got a big 2026 in store, and you get get tour dates and other info at Lukecombs.com
You know I love me some Kellyoke, because, basically, Kelly Clarkson can song anything and make it her own.
If you’re not familiar with the phenomenon, Kelly Clarkson- on her talk show “The Kelly Clarkson Show”- covers different songs almost daily, and almost always knocks them out of the ballpark and beyond.
Her latest Kellyoke slay?
Her version of Country star Ella Langley’s “Weren’t for the Wind”. So, so good!
Enjoy:
Can Kelly just go on and put out a Country album, please?
Kelsea Ballerini released one heck of a new song this past Friday- it’s called “I Sit in Parks”, and I really feel like it’s one of her best yet.
It’s the plight of the modern woman:
That song hits different, right?
Very honest and vulnerable… and having had a child later in life (at 38) after establishing my career, I definitely relate to the subject. Sure, my career isn’t an iota as to what Kelsea’s career is, but still, I get it.
It’s something that so many women struggle with internally… do you get married and have kids first? Or work to fulfill your potential in the working world? Or both?
Both is hard, but it can be done. I’m proof of that.
Lord, it’s a lot of juggling and constantly restructuring, yet extremely fulfilling at the same time.
I hope Kelsea- and every woman in this situation- can find the happiness they long for.
That being said, Kelsea has really upped her game as a songwriter this past decade, and I can’t wait to hear more from her.
Luckily, that’s not a long wait… her new EP “Mount Pleasant” drops this Friday, November 14th.
Chris Young- one of my favorite voices in Country Music- most likely had a few too many prior to taking the stage at “Boots in the Park” in Tucson, AZ over the weekend.
A couple of videos have gone viral on Tik Tok of his performances, and… yeah. Definitely not the live caliber that I expected:
It’s been reported that people were leaving the show early, and I totally get why. Fans are accusing him of being way too drunk to perform, and a few are saying that it’s sound issues.
Honestly, sounds more like a few too many tequila shots to me.
Chris Young has yet to address the issue.
I honestly can’t judge, as when I used to sing in cover bands in Memphis in my early twenties, I have had a few boozy performances myself. I’m just glad social media wasn’t a big thing at the time, and that smartphones didn’t exist.
Thank you Baby Jesus for that.
Then again, people weren’t shelling out mega-bucks to see me perform. And there was never a cover… so it IS a little different.
I feel like if your fans are paying to see you perform, keep it together for that hour/hour and-a-half that you’re on stage.
Hopefully this is a one-off for Chris, and that he keeps the Whisky shots till after the show.
Still… one of my favorite voices for sure… and I hope this is just a bad night.
