I’ve really been enjoying Olivia Rodrigo as of late, and her song “Vampire” is one of my favorites of 2023. So, naturally, I was pretty jazzed to check out her performaces on “Saturday Night Live” last night.
All I can say is, Oh. My. God.
So simple and perfect. You really get to see what a great artist and talent she is. She’s like a dark, edgier Taylor Swift. And she has some serious vocal chops, musical talent, and songwriting abilities. I know there’s some who hate on modern music, but artists like Olivia have to prove them wrong.
Last night, one of my favorite bands ever in existence- The Foo Fighters- took the stage as the musical guests on “Saturday Night Live”.
As per usual, they freaking slayed it.
I LOVE that they were joined by H.E.R. for this song. She’s incredible.
Also, mad props to Christopher Walken for introducing them properly this time. Anyone remember this from 20 years ago?
Memory Lane, man.
I’m honestly just happy to see the Foos keeping it going so string after the devastating loss of Taylor Hawkins. I can’t imagine how difficult it must be to take the stage each time without him.
Way to keep on keeping on.
I know they have a big 2024 ahead, and I’m just excited to see what they do next.
Jelly Roll is pretty much owning the 2023 Music Scene. His latest single “Need a Favor” is on Country, Rock AND Top 40 radio right now, and he’s garnering lots of viral moments in concert lately, including his duet with Lynyrd Skynyrd on their classic “Simple Man” at a recent show in Jacksonville.
Check it out below:
Pretty flipping cool, right?
I’ve seen Skynyrd several times live, and they always bring it. Seems like Jelly Roll does, too.
I’m really excited to see where Jelly ends up next. You have to admit, his music is great, and his story is hella inspiring.
I’m hoping for more real artists like him in the future!

Aerosmith kicked off their “Peace Out” Farewell tour with The Black Crowes in Philadelphia this past weeked at Wells Fargo Center, and like many, I was wondering how they would sound.
I mean, they’re all in their mid-70’s, and it’s not like they lived their healthiest lives, you know?
Well, you wouldn’t have guessed it watching videos of their kickoff performance.
I mean, HOT DAMN.
Think of most people in their mid-70’s.
They’re not hitting high notes on top of pianos, or doing a tenth of what these guys are doing. Or even a hundreth.
Basically, everything your doctor told you is wrong.
I’ve seen Aerosmith several times in the early 2000’s, and was blown away 20 years ago with how good they sounded. I’m just happy to see that they can still kill it onstage. Also, Steven pulled me onstage at one of those shows, and it was definitely a highlight moment for me, since I’ve been in love with him since I was 4. He is Mojo Personified.
If you want to catch them this Fall, here’s their dates:
Of course, the big question is, is it REALLY a Farewell Tour?
Or are they going to be back at it again like so many bands?
Either way, it looks like they’re leaving it all on the stage this go round.
