Jelly Roll is pretty much owning the 2023 Music Scene. His latest single “Need a Favor” is on Country, Rock AND Top 40 radio right now, and he’s garnering lots of viral moments in concert lately, including his duet with Lynyrd Skynyrd on their classic “Simple Man” at a recent show in Jacksonville.

I’m really excited to see where Jelly ends up next. You have to admit, his music is great, and his story is hella inspiring.

My son Kenny looks so much like Jelly Roll. He loved his music. He is the one who started me listening to Jelly Roll unfortunately my son died on Feb 8 2021. And my song that I use to sing to my son and dance around the house with him in my arms was Simple Man. Lynyrd Skynrd is the best ass kickin southern rock there is. This morning at 3am I woke up missing my son so much. I was crying so bad. Its so hard to lose a child. He was 32. My son passed away from Cardiomyopathy/CHF. His story is sad He was diagnosed with CHF/Cardiomyopathy in 2016. He met the love of his life they settled down and had my a lil girl. When she turned 3 her mama got pregnant again we expecting another grandaughter in June 2019. Well, my son left for work and his lady was home with thier 3 yr old and she got up fell flat on her face and suddenly died rt in fr on thier daughter. We lost the baby. She was 8 mnths pregnant. Passed of undiagnosed preeclampsia. His heart just couldnt take it. Working and caring for thier lil girl. He was gone of a broken heart on Feb 8 2021. His heart just couldn’t bear any more. They are forever together. Ty for sharing this fottage of the concert. After my morning. I needed this. Love to Jelly Roll and Lynyrd Skynrd. Kenny I love you and miss you baby boy. absolutely my favorite song and it was used at our sons wedding last October but you rocked man ! Truly jelly roll you are my favorite artist God is good !

Well, obviously we can’t have the original band anymore. So I’m happy to have what we have. Hvaing seen them live several times, I think they carry on the legacy fantastically!

Well for one they are 40 years older. I’m so thankful I had the pleasure of growing up with their music.. I just saw Jelly in Mobile and he is the REAL DEAL. Go see him you will feel the love. ❤️

This was absolutely amazing. What a legendary performance with Jelly. The guitar brought tears to my eyes. Jelly’s music is reaching so many people. He is truly the most genuine, humble artist I’ve ever seen. He and his wife Bunnie are amazing. If I had one wish for myself, it’d be to be able to attend one of his concerts and meet him and Bunnie.
