Cetaphil Superbowl Commercial

Let’s be honest, one of the best parts of the Super Bowl is the commercials. Unless you’re a Chiefs and Taylor Swift fan, of course!

The trend these past few years has been for brands to release their commericals early.  Some people complain about it, but, with a average of $7 million per 30 second spot, I honestly don’ blame for companies to do whatever they have to do to get their money’s worth.

Cetaphil released their Super Bowl commerical yesterday, and it’s a tearjerker for sure. Plus it’s got a clear Taylor Swift theme without actually mentioning her name:

Come on, you know it’s cute.

Plus, Cetaphil is a good product- I’ve got problem skin, and the cleanser is amazing.

No, I’m not being paid for saying that. They spent 7 million, so I’m giving them a freebie.

I’m also not mad about them capitilizing on Taylor Swift’s popularity, and her influence on the NFL this past season. She did bring a lot of new, young female fans to the NFL, and really, that’s not a bad thing. If it makes dads and daughters bond, I’m all for it. Heck, my dad and I have had several Taylor Swift-centric conversations of late, and I’m 41 and he’s 72. Whatever works, right?

Hate all you want, it’s not going away.

In these crazy times, anything that brings a smile to one’s face is a good thing.

This commercial did that for me.

Also, GO CHIEFS!

Kansas City Chiefs “Falling For Football”

It’s NFL Post-Season, and having lived a large portion of my adult life in Kansas, of course I’m pulling for the Chiefs!

And I have a feeling a lot more people will, too, after this Hallmark movie themed hype video got released.

I choked on my coffee watching it this morning.

Sadly, Taylor Swift wasn’t in the video, but Donna Kelce is! “The heart can be in two places at once”… PERFECT! (If you know, you know)

I know some people are complaining about this video, but honestly? I love it!  And I actually can’t stand Hallmark movies, but this made me smile this morning. Not everything has to be so dang serious, people.  Let it go.

Also, the Chiefs are taking on Miami Saturday night at Arrowhead Stadium where it will be a tundra weather-wise.

Hopefully this will freeze Miami up?

We’ll see!

GOOOO CHIEFSSSS!!!!

Dolly Parton SLAYS the Cowboy’s Halftime Show!

Is there anyone cooler than Dolly?

I knew her halftime show for the Cowboys-Commanders game would be good, because, well, it’s Dolly.

But I was NOT expecting the level of awesomeness she was about to unleash on us all.

She literally rocked a custom Dallas Cowboys Cheerleader costume, and did a great set, making everyone forget, once again, that she is 77.

Find the video at the link below- since the NFL is is being weird and won’t let me embed it:https://youtu.be/sFE6SNXoZuE?si=SCMBr15GGS1t1jGO

I particularly love the performance, not just because Dolly, but I love the Dallas Cowboys Cheerleaders, and was addicted to their “Making the Team” show… which really needs to come back.  The whole thing is a YES from me!

Here’s more on the performance, and the official kickoff to “Rock the Red Kettle” for the Salvation Army:

The Salvation Army is one of the many causes I love to support, and Dolly herself just donated 1 MILLION dollars to it.

We don’t deserve Dolly.

ABSOLUTE QUEEN!

Also, her new “Rockstar” album is fantastic, and you can get more info on that and everything Dolly at http://dollyparton.com

Chris Stapleton and Snoop Dogg “In the Air Tonight”

Did you see “Monday Night Football” last night?

Chris Stapleton and Snoop Dogg debuted their new MNF anthem – a cover of Phil Collins “In The Air Tonight” with Cindy Blackman Santana on the drums.

Hot damn, right?

Chris Stapleton’s vocals can pretty much slay anything, and who doesn’t love Snoop Dogg?

And fun fact- Cindy is Carlos Santana’s wife.

I love everything about all of it.

Also, Go Chiefs!
