Metallica, Rick James and Ozzy Mash-Up

Is this necessary?

No.

But is it awesome?

Yes.

One of my favorite creators, Bill McClintock, did a mash-up of Metallica, Rick James and Ozzy, and somehow, it magically works.

I wish I had a millionth of the creativity that Bill McClintock has.

I so enjoy these mash-ups.

Not sure what that says about my mental state, but it is what it is.

Check out more gloriousness like above here: https://www.youtube.com/@BillMcClintockMashups

Miranda Lambert and Chris Stapleton “A Song to Sing” Music Video

I am loving this!

A few weeks ago, Miranda Lambert and Chris Stapleton released a 70’s inspired tune called “A Song to Sing”, and they just released the music video for it.

It’s perfect!

First off, Chris and Miranda together is just necessary.

Secondly, the song and video just bring happy vibes.

More of this in life, please?

Where’s my roller skates?

Lainey Wilson “King Ranch, King George, King James”

Lainey Wilson released her deluxe version of her latest album “Whirlwind” this past Friday, featuring a few new tracks, and they’re all really, really good.

Here’s another one of my favorites of her new releases called “King Ranch, King George, King James”:

Amen.

I just love her, and Country Music is lucky to have her.

Lainey is currently on her “Whirlwind” tour, and you can check the dates here: http://LaineyWilson.com

Lainey Wilson “Peace, Love and Cowboys”

Happy Friday!

Lainey Wilson just gave us a new banger with “Peace, Love and Cowboys”, and obvious, I love it.

She’s been teasing this one on social media all week, and it doesn’t disappoint:

I agree.

The world needs more of all of those things.

The track is one of the new songs that are on Lainey Wilson’s deluxe version of her latest album “Whirlwind” out today.

Long Live Lainey!

Sabrina Carpenter “Sweet Child of Mine”

Sabrina Carpenter is easily one of the biggest pop stars today.

Which, really, is why it’s so fun to see throwback videos to when she started.

Like this epic, terrible quality video of her performing “Sweet Child of Mine” in 2010 when she was just 10 years old.

She actually did pretty well, considering…

As a Guns N’ Roses fan, I appreciate it.

Of course, Sabrina Carpenter’s music now is totally on the other end of the spectrum, in the sexy, bubblegum pop genre.

But maybe, just maybe, since this video is making the rounds, she can give this song a go again?

I’d be down for it.

Also, Sabrina’s new album “Man’s Best Friend” drops August 29th.

So, yeah, there’s no getting away from this girl!

Morgan Wallen’s Sister Can SING!

Morgan Wallen is always making headlines.

Be it for his music or his drunken antics, the dude is everywhere, and is easily one of the most successful Country artists of all time already.

Well, today, he’s not the one getting the attention.

His sister Mikaela is.

She is one of his three sisters, and has clearly inherited some of the family’s vocal talent:

@mikaelawallen_ Felt brave.. might delete later but the acoustics go crazy in here #fyp #TheAnimals #acoustic ♬ original sound – Mikaela Wallen

Dang, girl has some pipes on her!

Maybe a duet with Morgan could be next?

Bro, hook yo sister up!

Also, I too can never resist belting out in a room with great acoustics.

Sadly, I don’t sound as good as her, but I totally relate!
Also, KUDOS for a fantastic song choice.

Jessie Murph covering Miranda Lambert’s “Tin Man”

Jessie Murph has had a major year so far.

She’s been on the scene for a minute now, and really broke through with Country star Koe Wetzel on “High Road”.

Anyone who’s heard her music knows she has a “rough” edge to her, to put it lightly.

I’ll be honest, it’s too much for Middle-Aged me, although “Blue Strips” does get stuck in my head way to often these days.

Anyhow, we got to see a softer side of Jessie this week when she performed beautiful version of Miranda Lambert’s “Tin Man”:

That was freaking amazing.

Can she crossover to Country for real? Her voice is made for it!

Also, if you’ve never heard the original by Miranda Lambert, well, educate yourself now:

Maybe a collab should be in order?

I just sent that out to the universe to manifest, so we’ll see!

Kelly Clarkson “Creep” Live

Kelly Clarkson can’t miss!

Kelly is currently doing her “Studio Sessions” residency in Las Vegas, and as she always does, she sprinkles some stellar cover songs in her set. She did a fabulous version of Radiohead’s “Creep”- which I LOVE that song- and Kelly Clarkson totally made it her own, and even had a little fun with her band at the beginning:

Damn, woman.

I just love her.

She’s performed that version of “Creep” many times, but it never gets old to me.

Here’s an example of another fantastic version of the song:

You can get more Kelly Clarkson on her new show “Songs and Stories” on August 16th on NBC.

Long live the vocal Queen!

Rod Stewart’s Bizarre Tribute to Ozzy Osbourne

Well, this is…special?

After Metal legend Ozzy Osbourne’s passing a few weeks ago, tributes have been pouring in.

Perhaps the most memorable so far?

Rod Stewart’s.

On the day of Ozzy’s passing, Rod did a tribute by dedicating his Bob Dylan cover “Forever Young” to him.

Well, he decided to go a little further this past weekend at his show in Atlanta.

He added an AI twist that noone ever asked for.

Just watch:

@iamsloanesteel Last night I went to a Rod Stewart concert and he played this “tribute” to Ozzy. The selfie sticks in heaven?!! XXXTentacion?! #ozzyosbourne #rodstewart #XXXTentacion ♬ original sound – Sloane Steel

WTFFFF?

I mean, props for creativity, I guess?

Did we really need this?

I can’t be the only one mildly creeped out by this, right?

What do you think… cool idea? Or just really freaking wierd?

I may have nightmares now.

Tim McGraw “King Rodeo”

Tim McGraw’s catalogue is seriously one of the biggest soundtracks to my childhood.

And at 58, he’s showing no signs of slowing down on the hits with his new song “Dear Rodeo”.

It was just released as a live version from the inaugural Music City Rodeo earlier this year, and it’s giving some “Desperado” vibes:

Damn, Tim is good live.

And I think that song is one of his best yet. Giving me some chills over here.

The song is likely part of the Bull Riding TV series that Tim was supposed to be a part of, but then he had a bunch of major surgeries this year that took him out of the project.

Hey, at least we got this killer song from it, so it’s not a total loss, right?

As far as Tim’s recovery from the surgeries, it looks like he’s doing well, and he was seen last week going into a recording studio (and rocking a shaved head, too) so I’m guessing more new music is on the horizon?

Stay tuned!
