Dolly Parton Feat. Linda Perry “What’s Up”

Dolly Parton just made my Friday EVEN better by giving us another song off of her upcoming “Rockstar” album. She has teamed up with the legendary Linda Perry for a version of  “What’s Up” by 4 Non Blondes. At first, I wondered how she would handle the escalating vocals and vibe, but who was I kidding?

It’s Freaking Dolly.

I don’t think there is anything she can’t sing. And remember, she’s in her mid-70’s.

#RESPECT

I seriously cannot wait for her full “Rockstar” album, which drops November 17th.

Dolly Parton Featuring Sir Paul McCartney and Ringo Starr “Let it Be”

As you’re probably aware of by now, Dolly Parton has a Rock album coming out this Fall called “Rock Star” featuring covers of Rock classics (with a TON of star-studded collabs) and some originals as well. The past few months, Dolly has been periodically dropping songs off the album to get us ready for the release, and her latest is a cover of the iconic “Let it Be” by The Beatles, and features non other than Sir Paul McCartney and Ringo Starr.

How’s THAT for star power?

Ahhh, chilllssss…

I seriously cannot wait for this album, which only Dolly could pull off!

November 17th can’t be here quickly enough!

Dolly Parton “We Are the Champions/We Will Rock You”

Dolly Parton just released another gem from her upcoming Rock album “Rockstar”, and of course, it’s pretty awesome.

I was kind of concerned about how this would sound, as I’m a HUGE Queen fan, but as per usual, Dolly put her magical spin on “We Are the Champions/We Will Rock You” and made it her own, while paying the proper tribute to the Queen anthem.

Dammit, I love me some Dolly.  I seriously feel like there isn’t anything she couldn’t sing and make her own.

Her album “Rockstar” , which features Rock covers, originals, and a star-studded guest list, comes out on November 17th.

Dolly Parton Feat. Ann Wilson “Magic Man” (Carl’s Version)

As you’re probably aware of by now, Dolly Parton is releasing a rock covers album called “Rockstar” this Fall, and it features a ton of collabs with rock legends.

She just released a killer version of “Magic Man” with Ann Wilson of Heart, with a twist, and it is absolutely fantastic.

Jeeepers. Dolly’s voice still sounds incredible. And, of course, so does Ann’s.

Oh, and Ann and Nancy Wilson of Heart are working together again, which makes my 80’s heart happy.  So stay tuned for more on that!

Dolly also released an original song with Rob Halford of Judas Priest called “Bygones” – again, I can’t get enough of these!

Also, Nikki Sixx and John 5 are on the track as well. HELL YES!!!

Dolly’s “Rockstar” album comes out November 17th, and features 21 covers, and 9 originals.

I. Can’t. Wait.

Dolly Parton “World on Fire”

Damnnnn, Dolly. Way to hit the nail on the head with every lyric in that song!

A new study by Studyfinds.com shows the “Best Female Country Singers of All Time”, and I’m really not gonna argue this one.

1. Dolly Parton
The top spot on the list goes to perhaps the most influential country singer ever, Dolly Parton. This famous blondie appeared in the top spot across 70 percent of the sites referenced. Dolly isn’t just known for having one of the best amusement parks in the South, but her iconic status as one of the best in country will last long after she’s gone.

2. Loretta Lynn
The Coal Miner’s Daughter was the clear choice for second. Simply put, Loretta Lynn is a country music icon.

3. Reba McEntire
The red-headed country legend appeared on 70 percent of the sites we referenced and for good reason. Reba is recognizable by her first name alone, and that notoriety even helped her land her own TV show. Through it all, Reba has remained true to her country music roots.

4. Patsy Cline
Patsy Cline is responsible for some of the most iconic country music songs of all time and is beyond deserving of her place as one of the best.

Dolly Parton and Olivia Newton-John “Jolene”

When I heard that Dolly Parton had recorded a duet with Olivia Newton-John covering her iconic “Jolene”, I immediately had to look it up and take a listen.

Ommggggg… weekend = MADE!

This duet is a part of Dolly’s upcoming Rock album which will featured collabs with everyone from Stevie Nicks to Steven Tyler to Steve Perry.

Needless to say, I’m just a little bit excited for it.

Once again, DOLLY FOR PRESIDENT!

Dolly Parton, Cyndi Lauper, Belinda Carlisle, Debbie Harry and Gloria Estefan “Gonna Be You”

Dolly Parton, Cyndi Lauper, Belinda Carlisle, Debbie Harry and Gloria Estefan have teamed up for a collab that’s on the soundtrack for the upcoming “80;s for Brady” movie… which not gonna lie… I kind of want to see.  Probably because I’m now offically middle-aged.

Is the song cheesy? Oh, heck yeah.  But it’s for a movie about elderly women obsessed with Tom Brady, so I’m thinking it wasn’t meant to be that intellectually substantial. Really, thoughm it’s actually the perfect song for that kind of a movie soundtrack.

Ok, first of all, Belinda Carlisle is still STUNNING. And Cyndi still has those powerhouse vocal runs. Good to know some things never change.

Also, why isn’t Debbie in the video?

I just wanted to feature this song because I’m a fan of all these incredible women, and after watching the trailer, I really want to see the movie, too.

“80’s for Brady” hits theaters on Feburary 3rd if you want to check it out!

Dolly Parton “Don’t Make Me Have to Come Down There”

First off, today is Dolly Parton’s 77th Birthday!

All hail the QUEEN!

You seriously don’t get a better human than Dolly. I don’t think anyone can argue me this.

AND she celebrated her birthday by putting out a new song called “Don’t Make Me Have to Come Down There”!

How cool is that?  I love that Dolly can tackle a serious subject (Like us humans screwing everything up) with a dash of humor.

And yes, we are messing up big time across the board, and need to get to fixing it.  Dolly says so, and Dolly knows.

Can she run for president?  I mean, if Biden and Trump are running again… she’d win no contest.

Make it happen, Dolly!

Dolly Parton Goes Rock!

If there’s one thing everyone can agree on, it’s that Dolly Parton is a National Treasure.  She was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame a few weeks ago, and it aired on HBO this past weekend.  During the ceremony, Dolly confirmed that she is making a rock album, and performed a new song called “Rockin'” to celebrate.

Is it really rock? Nah.  But Dolly is a QUEEN and can do whatever the hell she wants.

Oh, and she enlisted Steve Perry- former frontman of Journey- to help her with her new album, and more to come, so I’m thinking this could be pretty great.

DOLLY FOR PRESIDENT, ya’ll!
