I don’t know about you, but I am NOT emotionally ready for “Yellowstone” to end tomorrow night.
Yeah, there’s like seven million spinoffs, including one centered around Beth and RIP in the future, but still I hate to see it end.
Thanks, Kevin Costner.
Anyhow, Ryan Bingham- who plays “Walker” on the show- is also a legit Country singer/songwriter, and has released a song for “Yellowstone Fans”.
You may have heard it on a previous episode this season, but this is the official release.
Check out “A Song for the Stone” below:
Here is Bingham’s official quote regarding the release of the song:
““I’d like to dedicate this song to all the Yellowstone fans out there, all the cast and crew, and all the folks that have made this whole thing possible over the years. It’s been a pretty amazing journey, and I’m honored to just be a part of. It’s taken me a while to write this song, but sometimes you’ve got to live it before you can write it.”
Well done, Ryan.
Here’s the “Fireside Version” that he put out a couple of days ago:
Anyhow, I’m really not ready for “Yellowstone” to be over tomorrow.
BUT- “Landman” with Billy Bob Thornton is pretty damn good, AND the “1923” prequel with Helen Mirren and Harrison Ford comes back (finally) for Season 2 on February 23rd on Paramount +, so not all is lost.
Thank you, “Yellowstone”, for the past few years, and bringing the Western lifestyle back to the forefront.
“Yellowstone” just released their first teaser trailer for the second half of Season 2, which I feel like we’ve been waiting three decades for, and it looks like it will be worth the wait:
Oooooooohhhh…
Looks like Beth is about to be throwing down big time, and I seriously can’t wait.
Who will win in the end?
Any theories?
“Yellowstone” Season 5: Part 2 will start November 10th on Paramount.
Obviously NOT with “Yellowstone” (Boo.), but instead, working on his epic Western “Horizon: An American Saga”, and the trailer for Part One has been released:
Ok, consider me officially interested.
I love a good Western saga (“Lonesome Dove” forever has my heart) and after watching the trailer, I’m so ready for this!
“Horizon” is a four part Post-Civil War Western Epic, and the first two movies will be in theaters this Summer.
The first will be on June 28th, and the 2nd on August 16th.
The remaining films haven’t even been shot yet, and Kevin Costner is putting everything he has into this project: emotionally, professionally, and financially. He’s got a lot riding on this- pun intended- and this has been a dream of his for the past thirty years, and honestly, I can’ wait to see it come into fruition.
Also, the cast is pretty spectacular, with obviously Kevin Costner, as well as Sienna Miller, as he leading roles.
Luke Grimes- best known as the actor who portrays Kayce Dutton in “Yellowstone” is making quite the name for himself in the Country Music world, which is even further solidified with his live version of “Burn” during a recent Spotify Outside Session.
Check this out:
I love the simplicity of his music, which a good bit of it he has written or co-written.
If you haven’t heard the studio verison, here you go:
So, so good.
All of his music sounds like it could be featured on he “Yellowstone” soundtrack- and some of it is!
Luke’s debut EP “Pain Pils or Pews” is out now, and you get get more info and dates at http://lukegrimes.com
If you’re a fan of the massive hit TV show “Yellowstone” then you know all about Luke Grimes, who plays Kayce Dutton on the show. As of last year, he’s been getting into Country music, and his stuff is pretty good. I love his laid back, true Country sound, and his music is the perfect soundtrack to the ranch lifestyle, which, of course, is depicted in a very dramatic way on “Yellowstone”.
He just released a cover of the Blaze Foley song “Clay Pigeons” which was originally released back in 1989, and he does a solid job on it.
If you want more Luke, he just released his debut EP “Pain Pills or Pews” and you can get more info and tour dates at http://lukegrimesmusic.com
I can’t wait to hear more from him, and I REALLY can’t wait for the final few episodes of “Yellowstone” which is slated (for now) for next Fall.
Lainey Wilson is pretty much OWNING Country Music these days, and it’s extremely well-deserved. She’s amazing on and off the stage, and has been putting out some solid songs that have taken over Country Radio, as well as making her mark on “Yellowstone” and showing off her personality (and other assets) on social media.
She also just recieved the most CMA Award nominations of any artist this week, including the coveted “Entertainer of the Year” Award category.
That being said, she just released a live version of her song “Smell Like Smoke” off of her latest album “Bell Bottom Country” and I’m reallllly hoping it’s her next radio single.
To me, a mark of a great artist is how good they sound live. Lainey kills it on the stage, as well as the studio.
I seriously can’t wait to see how far she will go. She has the makings of being one of the greats!
Catch her with HARDY on “The Mockingbird and the Crow” Tour this Fall:
Anyone else totally loving Luke Grimes’s new music?
At first when the “Yellowstone” actor (he portrays Kayce Dutton on the show) announced that he was going to try and become a Country singer, I admit, I rolled my eyes a little. Because what actor/actress doesn’t want to be a singer, and vice versa?
But I gave his first single, “No Horse to Ride” a listen, and was impressed. And he just dropped this new song called “Hold On” and once again, it’s real Country music, and definitely has a cool sound to it.
Yep, another song that would totally fit with the “Yellowstone” soundtrack.
That is, if they ever freaking finish up Season 5! (What the hell, guys???)
In the meantime, Luke Grimes is popping out some great Country tunes, and I’m for sure looking forward to his debut album.
