Avery Anna “No More Tears”

This is badass.

Country singer Avery Anna went viral last year with her cover of the late, great Ozzy Osbourne’s massive hit “No More Tears”, and it got her a ton of attention- as it should, because she SLAYED it.

Well, she listened to her fans, and released a studio version of it, and it’s just as stellar as her live cover.

I think even hardcore rock fans who hate Country music (you know who you are) can get down with this:

That goes hard.

As a rock fan and a Country fan, I appreciate the hell out of that.

This is just the beginning for Avery Anna, and you can find out more about her, get tour dates, etc. at https://www.averyannamusic.com/

I can’t wait to see what she does next. She’s such a great talent.

4 Non Blondes Perform “What’s Up” Live on New Years Eve!

Happy New Year!

In case you missed it last night, “Dick Clark’s New Years Rockin’ Eve” featured a performance of the 1993 smash “Whats Up” by the 4 Non Blonde’s, and they freaking KILLED it.

33 years later, this song has definitely stood the test of time.

Ok, how damn good does Linda Perry sound? And look? She’s what, 60?

What a baddie.

Also, we will finally be getting another album from them this year- hence them being featured on the show.

After hearing Linda rip those vocals out like 33 years hasn’t passed, I’m really looking forward to hearing more.

Oh, and Linda will also be putting out a solo album as well.

2026 is sounding great already!

Miranda Lambert Performing the Ella Langley Hit “Choosin’ Texas”

I am loving this!

Miranda Lambert took to the stage in Oklahoma this past weekend, and busted out a live version of the Ella Langley hit “Choosin’ Texas” (Which she co-wrote) and added her signature Texas twang to it:

Miranda Lambert and Ella Langley are the new dream team.

Also, Ella says that more collabs with Miranda are coming in the future, which is a great thing.

If you haven’t heard Ella Langley’s “Choosin’ Texas”, well, educate yourself:

Women back on Country Radio, and the 90’s Country sound is making a comeback.

It’s a glorious thing.

Pink Floyd’s “Wish You Were Here” Official Music Video

This is really cool.

50 years after its release, Pink Floyd’s “Wish You Were Here” finally has a music video, and it’s cool as hell.

Enjoy:

I absolutely love this song… and it has extra meaning now that my husband is deployed to Kuwait this holiday season.

Shout out to director Justin Daashuur Hopkins and production company Son&Heir for making this happen.

TSA Workers SLAY Mariah Carey Christmas Classic

Ok, this just made my Christmas.
TSA workers at the BWI Airport serenaded travelers with a bang-up version of Mariah Carey’s massive holiday hit “All I Want for Christmas is You”, and thankfully, someone recorded the moment, and it went viral.
As it should.
@jazsmin30 The best welcome home greeting #baltimore #christmas @Mariah Carey ♬ original sound – ebonee30

Woahhhhh… whoever that woman is, get her a record deal, NOW!

She sang it better than Mariah ever could.

Like, holy cow.

By the way, major shout out to these workers, who went without pay during the recent ridiculous government shutdown.

They showed up and showed out.

We need more of this happiness in the world, and I really hope someone puts that incredible vocalist where she needs to be.

Merry Christmas to all!

Cletus T. Judd “Riley Green”

I love me a good parody, and Cletus T. Judd knocked it out of the park with this one.

If you weren’t aware, Cletus is the resident Country parody singer, and has been around for decades.

His latest offering?

A song that parodies Doly Parton’s classic “Jolene”… it’s called “Riley Green”, and it’s all about the Country Music heartthrob:

I don’t know why, but I always love these.

Also, Riley Green is totally unfair to all the men out there.

I get it.

Bruno Mars, Slash, and Duff McKagan Covering Nirvana

Last week, there was a private holiday party in Los Angeles for billionaire Todd Boehly of the holding company Eldridge Industries.

So, who would a billionaire hire for entertainment?

An all-star cover band featuring Bruno Mars, Slash, Duff McKagan, Eddie Vedder, Anthony Keidis and Brandi Carlisle.

Holy freaking macaroni.

One of the notable performances of the evening?

Bruno Mars smashing a cover of Nirvana’s “Smells Like Teen Spirit” with Slash and Duff on Guns N’ Roses:

Ok, Bruno Mars needs to put out a rock album, like, yesterday.

I’m blown away over here.

I’m also insanely jealous of who got to see this magic live.

Sigh.

It’s good to be rich!

Ella Langley/Wham! Christmas Mash-Up

Ok, you know I love me a good mash-up.

The more unexpected, the better.

So, when this DJ on TikTok (DJ Vic) posted a mash-up of Ella Langley’s latest hit “Choosin’ Texas” mashed up with Wham’s “Last Christmas”, I was excited… but I did NOT expect it to be this good.

Enjoy:

If Radiohead Performed “Santa Claus Is Coming to Town”

Ok, big props to “There I Ruined It”.

They’re pretty much making things merry and bright this holiday season by using AI for the best purpose I can think of: Recreating holiday classics using famous rock artists and nailing it.

Case in point, a Radiohead version of “Santa Calus is Coming to Town”:

Yep.

Certified Holiday Banger.

Cheers!

Miley Cyrus “Dream As One”

This is stunning.

Miley Cyrus absolutely slays this song off of the upcoming “Avatar: Fire and Ice” soundtrack.

Honestly… she has never sounded- or looked- better.

Check out “Dream As One”:

Wow.

Ok, so the actual is a pretty basic movie soundtrack ballad, but with Miley’s voice and delivery, she makes it worth listening to.

Miley is one of those artists that just keeps getting better. I used to not be a fan, but she has absolutely grown on me as an artist, and has proven herself again and again in the industry.

So, yeah, mad respect.

“Avatar: Fire and Ash” hits theaters next Friday, December 19th, and you know it’s going to be a smash, and I have a feeling the soundtrack is going to be as well.
