Lainey Wilson “Peace, Love and Cowboys” Music Video

Lainey Wilson just released a holiday-themed version of her song “Peace, Love and Cowboys” and an absolutely tearjerker of a video to go along with it…

Well, ok, that was a good Sunday morning cry…

You’re welcome.

You can catch Lainey hosting and performing at the CMA Awards this Wednesday- check it out live on ABC!

Carly Pearce “Dream Come True”

Carly Pearce just released an honest and heartbreaking new song “Dream Come True”, and it’s one of my favorite of hers so far.

It’s real, and not only shows off her pure voice, but also shows the not-so-fun side of fame and what actually happens when your dream comes true.

It’s not always fun and games, kids.

Oooof.

Yeah, that one floored me the first time I heard it.

It’s a good reminder that just because someone seems to have it all, you never know the reality of what’s behind the sparkle.

And there is a sacrifice- lots of them- that comes with fame.  We mortals seem to forget that.

Also, Carly is not only incredible live, but also a really cool, fun person.

And we share the same weird trait of double-jointed elbows:

@meganontheradio Turns out @Carly Pearce and I have something really random in common… #carlypearce #countrymusic #countryradio #radio #radiopersonality #doublejointed #coloradosprings #fyp ♬ original sound – Megan Vaughan

I hope this new single means a new album coming soon?

I’ll keep you posted.

Chris Stapleton “White Horse” Music Video

Better late than never?

2 years after it’s release, Chris Stapleton finally dropped the music video for “White Horse”, and it’s pretty badass.

It stars Josh Brolin, and is basically a mini-action thriller movie.

Enjoy:

Well, that was… intense.

Love the plot-twist at the end.

Can we get more Stapleton movies? (Love the cameos of him and his baddie wife Morgane)

I think they’re onto something here.

I’d share dates for his 2026  leg of his All-American Roadshow Tour, but theyre pretty much sold-out.

Because, Chris Freaking Stapleton.

Cody Johnson “Travelin’ Soldier”

5 Years ago, Cody Johnson did a cover of The Chicks “Travelin’ Soldier”, and it went mega-viral.

So, after years of fans begging him, Cody finally released a studio version of his cover in honor of Veterans Day:

So dang good. Also, here’s another video “From the Stage” that he had just released a few hours ago:

And his original cover that got it all started?

Here ya go!

What I love about Cody Johnson is that he is the real freaking deal.

He’s on the road in 2026, and you can get more info, dates, etc: http://CodyJohnson.com

THANK YOU to all who serve.

On Veterans Day, and EVERY day.

Death Metal Miss Chile

There’s cool, and then there’s Ignacia Fernandez cool.

Ignacia just won the internet’s hearts with her talent performance at the Miss Chile World Competition over the weekend.

Not only is she Victoria’s Secret Model gorgeous, but she’s got Death Metal pipes for days.

I gotta say, I did NOT see this one coming:

Ok, that’s cool as hell.

I’m not a fan of Death Metal, but now if she’s singing it?

Ok.

Take my money.

Honestly, I just love the juxtaposition of a Chilean Model Babe singing like some angry 34-year-old fresh out of prison I-hate-my-dad- guy trying to rock out in his best friend’s basement before getting arrested for the 23rd time.

You go, Ignacia!

Check out more of her here: https://www.instagram.com/ignacia.fdez/

I may just have a legit new girl crush…

Kelsea Ballerini “I Sit in Parks”

Kelsea Ballerini released one heck of a new song this past Friday- it’s called “I Sit in Parks”, and I really feel like it’s one of her best yet.

It’s the plight of the modern woman:

That song hits different, right?

Very honest and vulnerable… and having had a child later in life (at 38) after establishing my career, I definitely relate to the subject. Sure, my career isn’t an iota as to what Kelsea’s career is, but still, I get it.

It’s something that so many women struggle with internally… do you get married and have kids first? Or work to fulfill your potential in the working world? Or both?

Both is hard, but it can be done. I’m proof of that.

Lord, it’s a lot of juggling and constantly restructuring, yet extremely fulfilling at the same time.

I hope Kelsea- and every woman in this situation- can find the happiness they long for.

That being said, Kelsea has really upped her game as a songwriter this past decade, and I can’t wait to hear more from her.

Luckily, that’s not a long wait… her new EP “Mount Pleasant” drops this Friday, November 14th.

“Michael” Official Trailer

This looks like it will be pretty dang good.

The highly anticipated Michael Jackson biopic simply called “Michael” has been pushed back months due to production taking longer than expected, but it seems like it may be worth the wait.

The first official trailer dropped yesterday, and from that minute of footage, it seems promising:

I’m glad Michael’s nephew Jafar Jackson is portraying him… definitely gives it some authenticity.

Biopics are hard, as it’s asking a lot of any actor to re-create an icon on screen, but this might work.

We’ll have to wait until April 24th, 2026 to find out.

Benson Boone and Brian May Perform “Bohemian Rhapsody/Beautiful Things:

This. Is. Awesome.

Benson Boone- easily one of the most talented new artists on the scene right now- was joined once again by Brian May, the iconic guitarist of Queen, in London this week.

They performed “Bohemian Rhapsody” at Coachella together earlier this year, and they performed that song right into Benson Boone’s massive 2024 hit “Beautiful Things”, and Brian spiced up the end with a rocking guitar solo, because, it’s Brian Freaking May:

Now, THAT was cool.

Benson Boone is like a straight Freddie Mercury with killer abs, am I right?

In case you missed their Coachella performance from a few months back, here ya go:

Also, is it weird that I still have a bit of a crush on Brian May?

Nah, didn’t think so.

Also, if Adam Lambert ever leaves Queen, Benson would be the perfect choice as a frontman, right?

Very, VERY few vocalists could pull that off, but I believe Benson easily could.

A girl can dream, right?

“The Fate of Ophelia” Halloween Light Show

Ok, I know Halloween was so two days ago, but I just now saw this and wanted to share.

Hillyard Light Shows put on a pretty epic “The Fate of Opheila” themed Halloween light show, which even features the music video (which may be one of the best videos of all time).

Check it out below:

Ok, that’s pretty awesome.

Although, I’m sure the neighbors hate it.

Also, I had to look up what one of these costs… the average light show can be in the thousands, and that’s not including the electric bill.

Guess I’ll just live vicariously through those who want to drop that much dough on a light show, because it will never be me.

Glam Metal Version of “Rhinestone Cowboy”

Ok, in instances like this, I am totally down for AI.

A creator called “Dafaq Was That?” just put out a version of Glen Campbell’s “Rhinestone Cowboy” in a glam metal style.

You ready?

You have to admit, that was pretty damn cool.

Of course, I love both Classic Country and Glam Metal, so, of course you know I’m down.

I’ll be rocking out to this all week.
