Lainey Wilson just released a holiday-themed version of her song “Peace, Love and Cowboys” and an absolutely tearjerker of a video to go along with it…
Well, ok, that was a good Sunday morning cry…
You’re welcome.
You can catch Lainey hosting and performing at the CMA Awards this Wednesday- check it out live on ABC!
There’s cool, and then there’s Ignacia Fernandez cool.
Ignacia just won the internet’s hearts with her talent performance at the Miss Chile World Competition over the weekend.
Not only is she Victoria’s Secret Model gorgeous, but she’s got Death Metal pipes for days.
I gotta say, I did NOT see this one coming:
Ok, that’s cool as hell.
I’m not a fan of Death Metal, but now if she’s singing it?
Ok.
Take my money.
Honestly, I just love the juxtaposition of a Chilean Model Babe singing like some angry 34-year-old fresh out of prison I-hate-my-dad- guy trying to rock out in his best friend’s basement before getting arrested for the 23rd time.
Kelsea Ballerini released one heck of a new song this past Friday- it’s called “I Sit in Parks”, and I really feel like it’s one of her best yet.
It’s the plight of the modern woman:
That song hits different, right?
Very honest and vulnerable… and having had a child later in life (at 38) after establishing my career, I definitely relate to the subject. Sure, my career isn’t an iota as to what Kelsea’s career is, but still, I get it.
It’s something that so many women struggle with internally… do you get married and have kids first? Or work to fulfill your potential in the working world? Or both?
Both is hard, but it can be done. I’m proof of that.
Lord, it’s a lot of juggling and constantly restructuring, yet extremely fulfilling at the same time.
I hope Kelsea- and every woman in this situation- can find the happiness they long for.
That being said, Kelsea has really upped her game as a songwriter this past decade, and I can’t wait to hear more from her.
Luckily, that’s not a long wait… her new EP “Mount Pleasant” drops this Friday, November 14th.
The highly anticipated Michael Jackson biopic simply called “Michael” has been pushed back months due to production taking longer than expected, but it seems like it may be worth the wait.
The first official trailer dropped yesterday, and from that minute of footage, it seems promising:
I’m glad Michael’s nephew Jafar Jackson is portraying him… definitely gives it some authenticity.
Biopics are hard, as it’s asking a lot of any actor to re-create an icon on screen, but this might work.
We’ll have to wait until April 24th, 2026 to find out.
Benson Boone- easily one of the most talented new artists on the scene right now- was joined once again by Brian May, the iconic guitarist of Queen, in London this week.
They performed “Bohemian Rhapsody” at Coachella together earlier this year, and they performed that song right into Benson Boone’s massive 2024 hit “Beautiful Things”, and Brian spiced up the end with a rocking guitar solo, because, it’s Brian Freaking May:
Now, THAT was cool.
Benson Boone is like a straight Freddie Mercury with killer abs, am I right?
In case you missed their Coachella performance from a few months back, here ya go:
Also, is it weird that I still have a bit of a crush on Brian May?
Nah, didn’t think so.
Also, if Adam Lambert ever leaves Queen, Benson would be the perfect choice as a frontman, right?
Very, VERY few vocalists could pull that off, but I believe Benson easily could.
Ok, I know Halloween was so two days ago, but I just now saw this and wanted to share.
Hillyard Light Shows put on a pretty epic “The Fate of Opheila” themed Halloween light show, which even features the music video (which may be one of the best videos of all time).
Check it out below:
Ok, that’s pretty awesome.
Although, I’m sure the neighbors hate it.
Also, I had to look up what one of these costs… the average light show can be in the thousands, and that’s not including the electric bill.
Guess I’ll just live vicariously through those who want to drop that much dough on a light show, because it will never be me.
