Could be my hot flashes… or maybe it’s just this music video for Country star Riley Green’s new single “Worst Way”.
All I can say is… DAMN.
Yeah, Riley Green doesn’t work out or anything.
Also, is anyone getting major Spencer Dutton vibes from him? (Hello, “1923”!)
Either way, Riley is easily the sexiest man in Country Music right now.
Fight me.
You can also catch him on the road this year- get the dates at http://Rileygreen.com
Really, my only complaint about this video is that he tossed the wine before showing up.
Cowboys beat the Bills… you know… back when the Cowboys won stuff.
I was at my parent’s friends’ house in Bolivar, TN. I was 11 years old, and the halftime show was Clint Black, Travis Tritt, Tanya Tucker, and The Judds.
What a time to be alive.
Behold, one of the greatest Super Bowl Half-Time Shows of all time:
THIS is what we need more of.
The past few half-time shows have been Rap/Hip-Hop, and no disrespect to that, but when was the last time we had a Country show?
Oh right, 1994.
Which makes zero sense, as Country Music is as big as it ever was.
At the very least, a Post Malone Half-Time show with all of his collaborators?
Ok, maybe not in Aerosmith touring shape just yet, but he did sing a few songs at his “Janie’s Fund” Grammy Watch Party this past Sunday night, and it sounds like his voice is making a solid comeback.
He blew out his voice singing on Aerosmith’s “Peace Out” Farewell tour, and the tour had to be cancelled as the damage to Steven’s voice was so bad.
Sounds like he’s making a comeback, though!
Damn, I love me some Steven Tyler.
Easily one of the most recognizable voices in Rock.
Oh, and he performed with one of my favorite Country singers right now- Lainey Wilson- on the iconic “Dream On”.
Randy Travis has released a new song called “Horses in Heaven” with the help of AI (Randy had a stroke years ago), and it’s times like these that I am grateful for what AI can do.
Randy Travis is a lifelong horseman, and being a horse person myself, I love this song so much.
Give it a listen below:
Here are the full lyrics:
“Horses In Heaven”
There are horses in Heaven
It says it in the Bible
Right there in Revelation
Red and pale, and black and white
Elijah left this world
On a chariot of fire
When Jesus comes back, he might just borrow
The silver for the night
There are horses in Heaven
So I bet that God’s a cowboy
Heading off into the sunset
In a big white Stetson hat
Every time you hear the thunder
It’s just a posse full of angels
Riding those horses up in Heaven
Golden saddles on their backs
When the roll is called up yonder
And they put me out to pasture
I hope there’s a pretty palomino
Just beyond the gate
I’ll see my dad and Pawpaw
You know that they’ll be waiting
To pull a plug of Red Man
And take out across the plains
‘Cause there are horses in Heaven
Yeah, I bet that God’s a cowboy
Heading off into the sunset
In a big white Stetson hat
Every time you hear the thunder
It’s just a posse full of angels
Riding those horses up in Heaven
Golden saddles on their backs
We’re all gonna get there
In a big long Cadillac
Once you cross that river
You won’t wanna cross it back
‘Cause there are horses in Heaven
So you know that God loves cowboys
Heading off into the sunset
In a big white Stetson hat
And every time you hear the thunder
It’s just a posse full of angels
Riding those horses up in Heaven
Golden saddles on their backs
There are horses in Heaven
And thank the Lord for that”
Ahhhh! My heart!
I especially love the line about the Pretty Palomino, as my mare and heart horse is a Palomino.
Definitely one of my new favorite songs this year.
Again, I’m all for AI when it’s used for things like this!
Randy Travis is on the road this year with James Dupre, and you can get the dates here: http://RandyTravis.com
Teddy Swims became majorly mainstream in the past couple of years, thanks to his massive hit “Lose Control” which was (and still is) everywhere. And he proved that he’s no one-hit wonder with more hits like “The Door” and “Bad Dreams”, which are also getting major airplay. His sound is perfect- incredible bluesy rock vocals that seem to have no limit, plus great, catchy songs that pretty much everyone can enjoy. I always say that he’s what would happen if Chris Stapleton and Jelly Roll had a baby.
Anyhow, Teddy has a new album out called “I’ve Tried Everything But Therapy (Part 2)” and here’s the new single off of it called “Guilty”:
Pretty damn good, right?
Teddy’s vocals are in another universe.
Yeah, this guy isn’t going anywhere, and that’s a good thing.
In case you’re under a rock or something of the like, you’re aware that today is President Donald Trump’s inaguration.
Look, I’m I’m not here to get into politics. I’m not right or left. I’m just an American. So, if you’re coming here to vent your frustrations, you came to the wrong place.
I love America, flaws and all, and will always do so no matter who is voted in as the leader.
I’m an Army wife, and I take pride in our country and know how good we have it, whether or not you approve of the Coomander-in-Chief.
That being said, Carrie Underwood was tapped to perform “America the Beautiful” at the ceremony, and despite technical issues and the backing track not playing, she immediately sang it A Cappella, and absolutely NAILED it.
Not that I’m surprised. Carrie Underwood is one of the most vocally talented singers out there, and is a total pro and class act.
My favorite part?
Everyone singing along.
Right, left, or in between… you have to admit that was impressive.
Carrie Underwood got so much flack for doing this, and I loved her public statement in response:
“I love our country and am honored to have been asked to sing at the Inauguration and to be a small part of this historic event. I am humbled to answer the call at a time when we must all come together in the spirit of unity and looking to the future.”
Luke Combs is currently on the road overseas with Jordan Davis, Mitchell Tenpenny and Lane Pittman, and they just did a stop in Auckland, New Zealand where Luke debuted a new song.
The song- which it seems is titled “Ain’t No Cowboy” – it’s a true heartbreak banger, which is what Luke does best:
