Morgan Wallen “Smile”

Well, this was a nice surprise this morning.

Morgan Wallen just dropped a new single called “Smile”, and I think it may be one of my favorites of his.

Written by Morgan, Ernest, Rocky Block, John Byron, Ryan Vojtezak and Luis Witkiewitz, I have a feeling this will be another #1 hit.

Because, like it or not, that’s all Morgan Wallen seems capable of producing these days.

Damn.

What I like about this song- aside from the sound and subject matter- is that it really shows of what a good vocalist Morgan is, which can sometimes be hidden with other hits like “Last Night” and “I Had Some Help”.

This definitely bodes well for more solid stuff in 2025.

And now this will be in my head all day, which isn’ a bad thing.

Have a Happy New Year!

Elle King “Banned From The Grand Ole Opry”

Remember earlier this year when Elle King got hammerfaced and performed at a Dolly Parton tribute at the Grand Ole Opry?

Yeah, that was a moment for sure, and that, combined with her drunken New Years Eve performance had a lot of people wondering what the heck was going on…

Well, Elle King posted a new song to instagram this week seemingly addressing the incident.

It’s called “Banned From the Grand Ole Opry”, and it’s pretty good.

Now, did Elle actually get banned from the Opry?

Who knows? Maybe? Wouldn’t be the first time someone got kicked out of the circle.

Either way, it’s a fun song, and I really do like her voice and her style.

Wishing her all the best in 2025.

Zach Top “Nobody in His Right Mind Would Have Left Her” Cover

Zach Top is on FIRE!

This time last year, the up and coming Country artist Zach Top was just breaking on to the scene, and what a year he has had.

He’s had two hits on the radio with “Sounds Like the Radio” and “I Never Lie” as well as opening up for some incredible acts on tour, like Dierks Bentley and Lainey Wilson.

This guy is the real deal, as proven by his cover of George Strait’s hit “Nobody in His Right Mind Would Have Left Her”- whcih was also recorded by the great Keith Whitley:

I know this video is a few months old, but it’s recent gaining traction as Zach Top’s star rises.

Again, the kiddo is the real deal, and I can’t wait to her what he has in store for us in 2025.

Check out his album “Cold Beer and Country Music” when you get the chance, and get info, tour dates, all that good stuff at https://zachtop.com/

God bless REAL Country Music!

Morgan Wallen Teases New Music!

Christmas has come early for Morgan Wallen fans.

Yesterday, Morgan teased a snippet of a new song he’s working on, allegedly called “Since You Got Gone”, and it’s probably his next #1 hit.

Check out the clip he shared on instagram below:

As Morgan mentioned, it’s just a rough demo at this point, but it sounds like something you’ll be hearing on Country Radio nonstop in the next year, so get ready.

Morgan is currently working on his next project, and is heating up the charts right now with “Love Somebody”, and I’m thinking there’s no slowing down for Morgan anytime soon. Especially as those felony charges got dropped recently- that could have been a problem.

Hopefully, he slows down the partying, and just keeps on making good music.

2025 is likely to be another massive year for Morgan Wallen, and for Country Music in general, just like this year.

Bring it!

Mov B*tch, It’s Cold Outside

Need a highly inappropriate song to add to your holiday playlist?

I got you, boo.

“There, I Ruind It”- on of my favorite creators- just dropped a mash-up, and it’s glorious.

I presnt to you, “Move B*tch, it’s Cold Outside” – which combines the controversial holiday classic “Baby, it’s Cold Outside” with Ludacris’s “Move, Bitch”.

We needed this:

Honestly, I was never a fan of either tune, so I actually prefer this.

My maturity level is that of a 12-year-old boy’s.

Cody Johnson and Lainey Wilson “Mama Don’t Let Your Babies Grow Up to be Cowboys”

The Natonal Finals Rodeo just wrapped up in Las Vegas (it’s on my bucket list to go one day) and Cody Johnson was one of the featured performers, which makes sense, as he’s a legitimate cowboy. And he brought up a pretty legit cowgirl -fellow Country superstar Lainey Wilson- to perform the classic “Mamas Don’t Let Your Babies Grow Up to be Cowboys”.

And, of course, it’s great:

Here’s another look:

@gypsycowboy1 C2C 2025 we need this duo lets make it happen guys @Lainey Wilson @Cody Johnson @C2CFestival #countymusic #fyp #gypsycowboy1 #laineywilson #codyjohnson #duo#c2c #london ♬ original sound – country music Uk

Cody has mentioned that he and Lainey want to remake Conway Twitty and Loretta Lynn’s “Louisiana Woman, Mississippi Man”, but they haven’t gotten around to it just yet.

Yep- that needs to happen in 2025.

Get on it, you two!

I’m honestly just really happy about the direction that Country music is going these days- getting away from the “Bro Country” and moving to more of a traiditonal sound.

More of that in 2025, please!

Lady Gaga and Brian Johnson of AC/DC Performing “Highway to Hell” on “Carpool Karaoke”!

Well, this is pretty damn cool.

“Carpool Karaoke” is back for a holiday edition, and Lady Gaga is joined by Brian Johnson of AC/DC for an impromptu version of “Highway to Hell”, and of course, it’s badass:

Damn. Lady Gaga is next level on the talent scale.

And now I can’t stop singing “Highway to Hell”. Just not nearly as good as Gaga does it.

You can watch the full version on Apple TV+- available now.

Here’s the teaser for it- Gaga, Chappell Roan AND Dua Lipa?

Hell yes!

“1923” Season 2 Teaser Trailer

Anyone else sad that “Yellowstone” is over?

Same.

BUT, one of the prequels “1923” is FINALLY coming back for Season 2, and the official teaser trailer was released by Paramount + last night:

AAAAAAHHHH! So excited.

Honestly, I love this prequel way more than “1883”, and maybe even better than “Yellowstone”.

How can it go wrong with the cast that it has?

Helen Mirren? Harrison Ford?

I mean damn.

Also, what happened to Spencer and Alexandria????

Stay tuned. The new season starts February 23rd on Paramount +.

Ryan Bingham “A Song for the Stone”

I don’t know about you, but I am NOT emotionally ready for “Yellowstone” to end tomorrow night.

Yeah, there’s like seven million spinoffs, including one centered around Beth and RIP in the future, but still I hate to see it end.

Thanks, Kevin Costner.

Anyhow, Ryan Bingham- who plays “Walker” on the show- is also a legit Country singer/songwriter, and has released a song for “Yellowstone Fans”.

You may have heard it on a previous episode this season, but this is the official release.

Check out “A Song for the Stone” below:

Here is Bingham’s official quote regarding the release of the song:

“I’d like to dedicate this song to all the Yellowstone fans out there, all the cast and crew, and all the folks that have made this whole thing possible over the years. It’s been a pretty amazing journey, and I’m honored to just be a part of. It’s taken me a while to write this song, but sometimes you’ve got to live it before you can write it.”

Well done, Ryan.

Here’s the “Fireside Version” that he put out a couple of days ago:

Anyhow, I’m really not ready for “Yellowstone” to be over tomorrow.

BUT- “Landman” with Billy Bob Thornton is pretty damn good, AND the “1923” prequel with Helen Mirren and Harrison Ford comes back (finally) for Season 2 on February 23rd on Paramount +, so not all is lost.

Thank you, “Yellowstone”, for the past few years, and bringing the Western lifestyle back to the forefront.

80’s Music Christmas Light Show!

Tis’ the season for holiday light shows!

I absolutely love them- not at my house, because I don’t want the electric bill- but I love watching them.

I’m really a kid at heart when it comes to pretty lights.

This holiday light display is set to an 80’s Music Compilation, and I cannot get enough:

How great is that? My three-year old was loving this.

He totally takes after me.

The creator is Tom BetGeorge of Magical Light Shows and it costs thousands to put these displays on- not to mention the electric bill after.

But if ever I win the lottery, you can bet I will be doing this!
