Megan Moroney “6 Months Later”

Megan Moroney is on fire!

She’s easily on of the hottest Country stars out there right now, and for a few weeks she has been teasing a song called “6 Months Later” on her socials, and she released it this morning.

Enjoy!

I love her sound, and her songwriting skills are on point.

Megan says she’s about “80 percent done” on her next album, and it’s safe to say it will be a hit.

Women are killing the game in Country Music, and I couldn’t be happier.

Ed Sheeran “Drive”

Ed Sheeran never misses.

He just dropped his new song “Drive” off of the upcoming “F-1” Movie soundtrack, and it’s freaking GOOD. Of course, you have John Mayer on guitar and Dave Grohl of the Foo Fighters on the drums, so it’s kind of hard to mess that combo up.

Check it out:

Dave Grohl’s drums are always a win.

I have a feeling the movie will be, as well. “F-1” stars Brad Pitt, and is expected to be one of the big Summer blockbusters this year.

“F-1” and the soundtrack both come out next Friday, June 27th.

Vroooom!

Kelly Clarkson “Damn I Wish I Was Your Lover”

Again, this woman can sing ANYTHING.

Kelly Clarkson covered Sophie B. Hawkins’s hit “Damn I Wish I Was Your Lover” and, naturally, she killed it.

Enjoy:

I love that she put a bit of a rock spin on this song… seriously, is there anything she can’t sing?

I really want to hear cover Metallica’s “Nothing Else Matters”.

Let’s make this happen!

Zach Top “Good Times and Tan Lines”

Alan Jackson, that you?

Zach Top- one of the most promising up-and coming Country artists that actually sounds like (gasp!) Country- just dropped the official Summer Country banger.

It’s called “Good Times and Tan Lines” and it’s almost a carbon copy of Alan Jackson’s 90’s Summer Smash “Chattahoochie” and that’s not a bad thing.

Enjoy:

Such a fun song, and again, total Alan Jackson vibes, and that’s ok.

Country music needs more of this.

Zach Top’s new album “Ain’t In it For My Health” drops August 29th.

Oh, and last year, I had the chance to interview Zach right before he blew up, and he’s an absolute doll.

I am so happy for all of his success… well deserved!

Rascal Flatts and Carly Pearce “My Wish”

Every Friday, new music for the week drops.

I’ve been digging through it, and I have to say, this Rascal Flatts/Carly Pearce collab on Rascal Flatts 2006 hit “My Wish” is really, really good.

I’ll be honest, I haven’t been a huge Rascal Flatts fan- except for some of their earlier stuff, but this version of “My Wish” got my attention:

I love me some Carly Pearce, and damn, Gary LeVox can sing like crazy.  Hence why he changed his last name from Vernon to “LeVox” which means “The Voice” in Old French.

Well, that’s subtle.

Anyhow, out of all the new music that came out this past Friday, this was the song that caught my attention.

Rascal Flatts “Life is a Highway: Refueled Duets” is out now.

Luke Combs Covering Teddy Swims “Lose Control”

I love a good cover, and Country Super Star Luke Combs definitely delivered on his take on the massive Teddy Swims hit “Lose Control”.

Check it out below:

Dammnnnn sonnnnn…

Is there anything this man can’t sing?

Those vocal riffs are fire.

Can we have an actual recorded version of this song? Or… better yet… a collab with Teddy Swims?

Universe, make it happen.

The Greatest Power Ballads in Rock History

Who doesn’t like a good Power Ballad?

Ultimateclassicrock.com just ranked the “50 Greatest Power Ballads in Rock History”, and here’s their Top 10:

1.  “Purple Rain”Prince (1984)

2.  “Alone”Heart (1987)

3.  “November Rain”Guns N’ Roses (1991)

4.  “Don’t Stop Believin'”Journey (1981)

5.  “I Want to Know What Love Is”Foreigner (1984)

6.  “Home Sweet Home”Motley Crue (1985)

7.  “Dream On”Aerosmith (1973)

8.  “I’d Do Anything For Love (But I Won’t Do That)”Meat Loaf (1993)

9.  “Sister Christian”Night Ranger (1983)

10.  “Heaven”Bryan Adams (1983)

Pretty solid Top 10, right?

However, “Nothing Else Matter” by Metallica only ranking #50 is totally suspect, as is Bon Jovi’s “Never Say Goodbye” and Cinderella’s “Nobody’s Fool” not being on the list.

I mean, what the Hell, Mel?

What other gems are missing?

“California Dreamin” Meets Lil’ Wayne’s “Lollipop”

One of my favorite creators- “There I Ruined It” just dropped another banger.

Ever wonder what Lil’ Wayne’s “Lollipop” would sound like in the style of The Mamas and The Papas “California Dreamin”?

No?

Well, here you go anyway.

It’s something to behold:

A true masterpiece for the ages.

Check out more gloriousness from “There I Ruined It” on YouTube:  There I Ruined It – YouTube and on socials.

Miley Cyrus “Easy Lover”

Miley Cyrus is unstoppable.

Her new album “Something Beautiful” dropped this morning, and so far, what I’ve heard is pretty damn fantastic.

Her new single is a freaking jam- check out “Easy Lover” below:

Honestly, I was hoping it would be a cover of Phil Collins and Phillip Bailey’s “Easy Lover”, but alas, it’s not.

Remember this gem?

Anyhow, Miley’s “Easy Lover” is almost just as catchy, and I can’t wait to hear the rest of the album today.
Again, I’ll admit that I barely tolerated Miley for the better part of a decade, but she has completely proven herself as one hell of a pop artist and vocalist.

Oh, and her album has a movie to go with it, and will be in theaters one night only on June 12th.

Here’s the trailer:

I low key want to see this…

Miley is KILLING it!

Lainey Wilson “Somewhere Over Laredo” Live at the American Music Awards

Well, Lainey Wilson done did it again.

She proved why she is the ACM Entertainer of the Year for the 2nd year in a row with her performance of her new song “Somewhere Over Laredo” at the American Music Awards last night, and in my humble opinion, it was one of the best performances on the show…

Now, that’s how it’s done. No lip synching, no back-up dancers or overtly sexual moves… (Sorry, J Lo… )

Just talent, a good song, and a stunning performance.

“Somewhere Over Laredo” is off of Lainey Wilson’s deluxe version of her latest album “Whirlwind” and will be out August 22nd.
