The Foo Fighters on SNL

Last night, one of my favorite bands ever in existence- The Foo Fighters- took the stage as the musical guests on “Saturday Night Live”.

As per usual, they freaking slayed it.

I LOVE that they were joined by H.E.R. for this song. She’s incredible.

Also, mad props to Christopher Walken for introducing them properly this time. Anyone remember this from 20 years ago?

Memory Lane, man.

I’m honestly just happy to see the Foos keeping it going so string after the devastating loss of Taylor Hawkins.Ā  I can’t imagine how difficult it must be to take the stage each time without him.

Way to keep on keeping on.

I know they have a big 2024 ahead, and I’m just excited to see what they do next.

Lainey Wilson and Dolly Parton “Mama He’s Crazy”

Ahhhhh!Ā  I’ve been waiting on this one for a while.

This morning, The Judds Tribute album “A Tribute to The Judds” came out, and I have been waiting for this collab.

Lainey Wilson and Dolly Parton on a classic like “Mama He’s Crazy”?

Oh, HELL YES.

And, of course, it didn’t disappoint at ALL.

You don’t get better than that. No arguments, ok?

The full album “A Tribute to The Judds” is out now! So many amazing tributes by some of Country’s best on there.

Kelly Clarkson “When It Comes to You”

Well, dang.

Kelly Clarkson has gone and done it again.

Now that her “Kelly Clarkson Show” show is back on the air, she’s going all kinds of viral for her “Kellyoke” songs, where she covers a random song on each show.

Well, she decided to cover a Cody Johnson song this week, so of course, being a CoJo fan, I had to give it a listen.

Ommmgggg… she just nailed it. Like, right through the board.

I tell no lies.

By the way, Cody Johnson has a new double album called “Leather” dropping next Friday, Nov 3rd, and you know I’ll be sharing gems from that!

You know what would really be cool, though?

A Kelly Clarkson Country Covers album.

Ya know???

It kind of needs to happen.

Robert Plant Singing “Stairway to Heaven” for the First Time in 16 Years!

Well, this made my week already.

Robert Plant- the legendary former frontman of Led Zeppelin- sang “Stairway to Heaven” for the first time in 16 years at a charity event over the weekend. It was a part of “An Evening With Andy Taylor and Special Guests” that took place in England, and all I can say is that Robert still has it!

Check it out:

Oooooohhhh… I got mad chills with that.

By the way, the last time Robert sang this song publicly was back in 2007 at the 02 Arena in London.
He still sounds amazing. What a freaking icon.

Now can we PLEASE get a Led Zeppelin reunion? For the love of all things good on this planet???

Kelly Clarkson and Alanis Morrisette on “The Kelly Clarkson Show”

Just in case you missed it this past week, Alania Morrissette was a guest on “The Kelly Clarkson Show”, and they did a few duets (naturally), and it was glorious.

I mean, really, how could it not be?

Did you get chills, too?

Also, how AMAZING is Kelly looking? Damn, girl. Get it!

Anyhow, being a huge Alanis fan growing up, and being of the same generation as Kelly Clarkson, I was absolutely loving all of it.

Seriously, Kelly is slaying it more than ever these days.Ā  I love seeing women kill it in the industry, and prove that they can do it all.

Kudos to her and Alanis.

Dolly Parton feat. Miley Cyrus “Wrecking Ball”

As you probably know by now, Dolly Parton’s rock cover album “Rockstar” is coming on November 17th, and she’s been dropping tracks off it at random. This one I have been waiting for a while…

Dolly covering her GodDaughter’s smash hit “Wrecking Ball” with Miley on the track.

Yep. I’m so here for it.

Sorry if you were expecting Dolly naked on a Wrecking Ball. Maybe next year.

But seriously, I don’t think there is anything that Dolly can’t sing.

“Rockstar” drops November 17th, and you can check out the full tracklisting atĀ http://dollyparton.com

Lainey Wilson “Country’s Cool Again”

Ya’ll know I love me some Lainey Wilson.

Who doesn’t these days, right?

I’m happy to say that I was one of the first to the party. I know good when I see it (or hear it, in her case!).

Well, I was excited to see that Lainey is teasing a new song on social media called “Country’s Cool Again”.

Give it a listen:

@laineywilson There must be something in the water…#CountrysCoolAgain ???? ???? #countrymusic #acousticmusic ♬ original sound – Lainey Wilson

Yep. It’s gonna be a hit, for sure.

Also, here’s her performing it at Red Rocks recently:

Yassss!!!!

So, does that mean a new album?

I sure hope so. Her last release was “Bell Bottom Country” which came out last Fall, and was a huge hit. Her latest single “Watermelon Moonshine” is spending it’s 3rd week at #1 on the Country charts, and her collab with Jelly Roll “Save Me” is climbing the charts with lightening speed.

It’s safe to say that Lainey is here to stay!

Good.

Ashley McBryde “Light on In The Kitchen” Live

Ashley McBryde never fails to deliver.

Seriously, we need more artists like her in ALL the genres.

You know, the talented and real type. The kind of woman you could actually hang out with and relate to… she truly does personify what Country Music is all about.

And her live performance that was just released of her latest single “Light On in the Kitchen” is proof of her incredible talent.

Damn good, right?

If you’re one of those “I Hate Country” types who is wondering why Country resonates with so many, and why it’s selling so much, especially of late?

Well, artists like Ashley is why.

Jelly Roll and Lynyrd Skynyrd “Simple Man”

Jelly Roll is pretty much owning the 2023 Music Scene. His latest single “Need a Favor” is on Country, Rock AND Top 40 radio right now, and he’s garnering lots of viral moments in concert lately, including his duet with Lynyrd Skynyrd on their classic “Simple Man” at a recent show in Jacksonville.

Check it out below:

Pretty flipping cool, right?

I’ve seen Skynyrd several times live, and they always bring it. Seems like Jelly Roll does, too.

I’m really excited to see where Jelly ends up next. You have to admit, his music is great, and his story is hella inspiring.

I’m hoping for more real artists like him in the future!

LeAnne Morgan Interview!

If you’re a woman on Facebook, chances are, you’ve seen at least five LeAnn Morgan shorts on your feed. As a mother, and hailing from The South, I totally fell in love with LeAnne’s version of comedy, and her deadpan delivery. So, when I found out I was going to get to interview her, I was pretty darn tickled. (Oops! My Tennessee is showing!)

Check out the interview below:

Isn’t she “darling” as she would say?

Omg. I love her. And she has a massive comedy tour happening, and is selling out dates nationwide.
