Kelly Clarkson Covers Reba McEntire’s “Til You Love Me”

I know I can’t seem to go a week without sharing a Kellyoke video, but come on, she’s just so damn good!

Yesterday, on “The Kelly Clarkson Show” Kelly covered one of my favorite Reba McEntire songs “Til’ You Love Me”, and of course, slayed it.

Yep, she definitely did that song justice. That song was my JAM in the 8h grade.

Very few people can cover Reba McEntire, let alone make it almost as good as the original.

But she did the dang thing!

Honestly, I want to see her cover a Metallica or Black Sabbath song.

Ooooh! Or Dio “Rainbow in the Dark”!

What would you like to see Kelly take on?

Ashley McBryde Performs a Disney Classic With “Part of Your World”

Ashley McBryde recently performed in Orlando, and she totally got Disney with it.

As she should.

Check out her incredible performance of “Part of Your World” from the Disney classic “The Little Mermaid”:

@ashleymcbrydemusic When in Orlando, you MUST sing a #Disney song…specifically, you must sing something from The Little Mermaid. Thanks @Lynsey for capturing this video! #OnTour #TheLittleMermaid ♬ original sound – Ashley McBryde

How great was that, though?

Ok, so now I’m thinking that a Country covers album of Disney Classics sung by today’s Country stars should be a thing.

Ok, universe, I threw it out to ya, now go manifest!

Morgan Wallen and Post Malone Debut “I Had Some Help” at Stagecoach

Stagecoach was on FIRE this past weekend.

Seroiusly having FOMO watching all of these fan videos popping up everywhere.

First Miranda Lambert debuting her new song “Wranglers” and then bringing Reba onstage? What???

Then last night, headliner Morgan Wallen brought out Post Malone for their new collab “I Had Some Help”.

I mean, what better place to show off the new music than Stagecoach, right?

@isabellagrossman5 Posty x morgan was the highlight of my year #postmalone #morganwallen #morgan #stagecoach #coachella #posty #country #countrymusic ♬ original sound – Isabella Grossman

Here some more footage I found so far:

This song is catchy as HELL, and you know it’ll be #1 if released as single.

Pretty sure both guys are a bit wasted during this performance, but it’s Morgan and Posty, so that’s to be expected.

Also, it’s freaking Stagecoach. Hell No H20!

2024 is shaping up to be a pretty solid year for music, and I can’t wait for more!

And if you want to catch Morgan on the road this year (good luck getting tickets) here’s the dates: https://morganwallen.com/

Morgan Wallen Debuts New Song at Ole Miss Concert

It looks like it’s going to take more than three Felony charges to slow Morgan Wallen down…

After getting arrested – again- this time for throwing a chair off of the rooftop Eric Church’s bar in downtown Nashville a couple of weeks ago, Morgan Wallen is back on the road, and really, not missing a beat.

He has since apologized, but it still remains to be seen if the charges will stick.

Really, Morgan is just a dumb drunk. That’s what it boils down to. A lot of Country stars have done waaaaayyyyy worse. But still, it was messed up, and I’m hoping he has learned his lesson.

Probably not.

But one can hope, right?

Anyhow, back to the music…

Morgan was at Ole Miss over the weekend, which is like Ground Zero for his fanbase, and he debuted a new song called “Lies Lies Lies” live and it sounds awesome:

Here’s another clip that I found on the interwebs:

Pretty dang good.

He’s got talent and songwriting skills for sure, and the controversy certainly hasn’t hurt him

Then again, P Diddy is being accused of WAY worse things, so maybe throwing bar furniture isn’t the worst thing?

Someone hire him some new handlers! Like, maybe put him on a leash like people do with toddlers…

In the meantime, the Morgan Wallen train shows no signs of slowing down.

Just watch out for flying chairs if you go.

Zac Brown Band Feat. Mac McAnally “Pirates and Parrots”

Last Fall, we lost the icon Jimmy Buffett, and since then, there have been so many fantastic tributes to the legend.

His music has touched so many lives over the decade, and his legacy will always go on.

The latest tribute that has me all in my feels is The Zac Brown Band’s “Pirates and Parrots” with Jimmy Buffett Coral Reefer bandmate and collaborator Mac McAnally:

Ok, I may have a little tear on my eye after that…

The Zac Brown Band have a busy year wih their joint tour with Kenny Chesney,

Full list of dates are at https://zacbrownband.com/
Bubbles up, ya’ll!

Chris Stapleton “Wings It and Sings It” on Jimmy Kimmel Live

Chris Stapleton can sing anything, and he proved it on “Jimmy Kimmel Live” during a segment called “Wing It and Sing It” where he had to perform a song sight unseen until the lyrics were presented to him.

The result?

Absolutely Hilarious!

I really think Chris needs to cut that as his next single.

I laughed way to damn hard at this!

Again, thank you, Baby Jesus, for Chris Stapleton.

Jelly Roll Debuts New Song at Grand Ole Opry

Jelly Roll is EVERYWHERE these days. On your radio, on your tv, and he’s basically taking over with his Country/Rock vibe and big (no pun intended) personality and amazing backstory.

He’s one of the few artists that gets regular airplay on Country, Rock, Top 40, and Adult Contemporary radio.

That in itself is a huge deal.

Well, last night, at The Grand Ole Opry, he debuted a new, unreleased song to see how it went over, and I have a feeling it’ll be on his next project.

Check out “Liar” below:

According to the fans’ reaction, it definitely has big hit potential.

Here’s a longer video if you want to full version courtesy of Whiskyriff.com: https://www.whiskeyriff.com/2024/04/16/jelly-roll-debuts-new-unreleased-song-liar-at-the-grand-ole-opry/
Jelly is on a roll (Yes, bad dad joke) and shows no signs of stopping.

Carrie Underwood Pays Tribute to Toby Keith With “Should Have Been a Cowboy”

Carrie Underwood is always pretty much flawless.

She continued her long streak of stellar vocal performances last night at The Grand Ole Opry with a tribute to the late, great Toby Keith with a pitch-perfect rendition of “Should Have Been a Cowboy”:

I love how Carrie can be pure Country one minute, Gospel the next, and then rip a Guns N’ Roses song to shreds.

Also, her legs are basically National Treasures.

I’m pretty sure Toby Keith would be proud!

Let’s be real, it’s a world better than Brooks and Dunn’s tribute at the CMT Awards last weekend:

Now, I LOVE me some B&D, but something was definitely off there. Sammy Hagar honestly had the best tribute that night, and he’s not even a little bit Country.

Hey, we all have our bad nights, right?

But yeah, Carrie Underwood, though.

Kind of rude that she gets that voice AND those legs, though.

I kid.

Mostly.

“Get That Boy Back” featuring Chris Stapleton on SNL

Chris Stapleton was on “Saturday Night Live” last night, and although he didn’t perform “I’m Just Ken” with host Ryan Gosling, his perfromances and skits redeemed that.

Case in point: “Get That Boy Back”:

I choked on my coffee watching that.

And, of course, Chris never misses on his live performances:

“White Horse”

“Mountains of My Mind”

Thank you Baby Jesus for Chris Stapleton.

Post Malone Covers Garth Brooks “Friends in Low Places”

Post Malone just threw us another Country Bone with a recent cover of Garth Brooks’ iconic “Friends in Low Places” in the studio while working on his Country project.

And, of course, it’s DAMN good.

Like, really good.

Ok, I hope he releases a cover of that with the guys he’s working on his Country album on, like Luke Combs, Morgan Wallen, ERNEST, etc.

That needs to happen, am I right?

Also, Posty needs to stop teasing us, and release his Country project already!

Or at least a full song.

I’m not picky.
