Luke Combs “The Man He Sees In Me”

I’ve been waiting on this one f0r a while.

Luke Combs has been teasing several “Dad Songs” lately, and he just released “The Man He Sees In Me” today:

Aaaaaaahhhhh! All the feels here.

Also, check out this letter to his two sons that he posted on insta:

The song, written by Luke and Josh Phillips, is just one of many “Dad Songs” on his upcoming album “Fathers and Sons”.

This song is PERFECT for Father’s Day!

Bring on the Dad Songs.

Post Malone Acoustic Version of “I Had Some Help”

Post Malone is on FIRE!

His song with Morgan Wallen “I Had Some Help” is spending it’s 3rd week at #1 on the Billboard Hot 100, and is quickly shaping up to be the song of the Summer.

So, how about a stripped down acoustic version of the song?

This is soooo good:

Damn, son.

Posty is so dang talented…

I actually like this better than the studio version, as there’s no autotune or added extras to the song.

Artists like Post Malone and Morgan Wallen don’t need the help.

Post Malone is gearing up to release his first full-length Country album, and is teasing a new collab with Blake Shelton, so stay tuned…

I’m her for ALL of it!

HARDY “Psycho”

In case you’ve been under a rock or something, HARDY is ne of the biggest names in Country right now, and moonlights as a Rock singer as well. He had his first #1 on Mainstream Rock last year with “Jack”, and it was one of my favrite songs of 2023:

HARDY is not only continuing to dominate the Country world, but is getting full on into Rock as well. He announced his first full-length Rock album “Quit!” which will be released on July 12th.

To get you ready for it, he just released his new song “Psycho” today, and I’m digging both the song and the video:

This song reminds me of an ex or two.

I mean, that’s kind of scary, but at least it’s relateable?

I know there’s some complaints about genre-crossing artists, but I’m really enjoying the dual musical stylings of artists like HARDY, Jelly Roll and Chris Stapleton.

Who says you have to stay in your lane?

I never really subscribed to that notion.

HARDY has a full rest f 2024 ahead, and you can get info, dates, and more at https://hardyofficial.com/

Luke Combs “Ain’t No Love in Oklahoma”

Dammnnnn, Luke Combs!

He jus sang the brakes off of this song.

It’s called “Ain’t No Love in Oklahoma” and Luke wrote it for the upcoming  “Twisters” movie soundtrack, and it his hard:

I’ve been so used to Luke’s love songs, beer songs and now dad songs (and the endless airplay loop of his version of “Fast Car”) that it was kind of a pleasant surprise to hear some real rocker vibes on this track.

Dude has some serious pipes, and I’m so happy that this is his new radio single. I can jam to this all damn day.

“Twisters” – the sequel to the 1996 Tornado Classic will be out July 19th.

Lainey Wilson “Hang Tight Honey”

Lainey Wilson just made Monday a little sweeter…

She just dropped a new song off her upcoming album “Whirlwind”, and it’s a feisty one.

It’s called “Hang Tight Honey” and it’s exactly what I had hoped for:

Yes! I love it! Lainey Wilson is on a hot streak, and shows no signs of slowing down.

Her new album “Whirlwind” comes out August 23rd, and she has also announced her own bar “Bell Bottoms Up” which will be taking over the FGL House off of Broadway in Nashville.

You know you’re killing the Country game when you get your own bar in Nashville.

Zach Top Interview

Earlier this year, Zach Top exploded onto the Country scene seemingly out of nowhere with his song “Sounds Like the Radio” which is a tribute to the “Glory Days” of Country Music in the Mid-90’s.

As soon as I heard the song, I knew it would take off, and look at that, every now and again I’m right!

“Sounds Like the Radio” is now in the Top 40 on the Hot Country charts, and if you haven’t heard the song yet, let me enlighten you:

90’s Country Perfection, right???

And Zach Top himself was kind enough to join me on the air this week, and he is SUCH a sweetheart.

Seriously, how can you not love him?

I am so excited about what the future has in store for him, and to see him on the road this Summer with Dierks Bentley.

Post Malone Feat. Morgan Wallen “I Had Some Help”

Who else has been waiting on this?

Post Malone is making the move to Country Music- I mean, who isn’t these days?

But I’m cool with it. I think he’s a great artist, and honestly, you can’t help but like the guy.

The first song off his upcoming project is the new single with Country Megastar Morgan Wallen.

It’s called “I Had Some Help” and it’s catchy as all get out.

You knew it would be, with those two behind it:

I like it. I really do. I wish there wasn’t as much autotune on it, as neither of those guys need it, but it’s 2024, and that’s how producers roll these days.

I smell an easy #1 hit.

What do you think about the new Posty Collab?

Stay tuned for more, as his Country project is slated for later this year.

George Strait and Chris Stapleton “Honky Tonk Hall of Fame”

Oh, Happy Day!

Last night, George Strait hit the stage at Lucas Oil Stadium in Indianapolis, and debuted a new song with his tourmate- the badassery that is Chris Stapleton- called “Honky Tonk Hall of Fame”.

And, of course, it’s REAL Country perfection:

This song makes me want a beer real bad.

I cannot wait to hear the actual studio recording of it! I mean, can you get better than George Strait and Chris Stapleton?

No.

No, you can’t.

Oh, and George also announced his long-awaited studio album called “Cowboys and Dreamers” and that it will be out “soon”.

Well, soon isn’t soon enough!

In the meantime, you can catch the legend along with Chris Stapleton and Little Big Town on the road- get dates and info at https://georgestrait.com/
2024 is shaping up to be a great year for Country music!

Keith Urban and Lainey Wilson “Go Home W U”

Man, we’re getting all kinds of new music today!

Not only did we get the new Miranda Lambert “Wranglers”, but also the Keith Urban/Lainey Wilson collab “Go Home W U”.

Damn. It’s a great day for Country Music!

And “Go Home W U” is the perfect Summer party song:

I’m digging it. Then again, Lainey Wilson can do no wrong in my book.

Keith Urban is working on a new album, and you can bet that will be on it! That being said, so is Lainey.

So, basically, we have a lot of new music coming our way.

Buckle up, Buttercup!

Miranda Lambert “Wranglers”

Happy Friday!

I’ve been waiting for this release. Miranda Lambert is easily one of my favorite artists, and her new single “Wranglers” is similar to some of her earlier releases.  Kind of like a sequel to her first hit “Kerosene”- at least that’s the vibe I’m getting.

I dig it!

I love the sassy, crazy side of Miranda. And what I really love about her as an artist is that she really sells her songs. Like, you can totally see Miranda setting fire to her dude’s Wranglers when she’s pissed.  On the flipside, when an artist like, say, Carrie Underwood puts out a revenge song, I just can’t see her doing the things she sings about. Miranda, on the other hand, absolutely!

She’s like a modern Tanya Tucker.

Wranglers should really use this song in an ad promoting their durability.

Hopefully, we’ll get a new album announcement soon! She did just recently sign with Republic Records, so you know it’s gonna be happening.

In the meantime, you can catch her on the road this year- dates are up at https://www.mirandalambert.com/tour/2227/new-braunfels-tx/
