Yayyyy! My favorite Youtube Channel “There I Ruined It” is back! They were banned for a few monhs on YouTube- some copyright thingy I think- but now it’s back, and gorgeously ruining songs again.
Like this version of “Baby Goy Back” in the style of Simon and Garfunkel
:
I’m not sure why I love these, but I do. And now this version will be stuck in my head for all eternity.
But seriously, Kelly Clarkson’s covers are one of the best things on the internet right now.
In case you’re new to the party, Kelly Clarkson has a daily talk show “The Kelly Clarkson Show” on NBC, and every day she does a segment called “Kellyoke” where she and her ridiculously good band cover a different song every day.
The latest to catch my fancy?
Kelly’s version of Chris Stapleton’s Grammy Award winning “White Horse”:
I’ve said it more than once, and I’ll say it again…
HOT. DAMN.
I don’t think there is anything this woman cannot sing.
Need further pro
Check out her YouTube channel, and enjoy going down the rabbit hole.
Justin Timberlake just dropped his highly anticipated new album “Everything I Thought I Was”, and as promised, there is an *NSYNC song on there, and it’s absolutely beautiful.
It’s called “Paradise” and I smell a hit on this one:
My only beef is that it’s listed as Justin Timberlake featuring *NSYNC. No, dude, it’s freaking *NSYNC.
Come on now.
Why ya gotta be like that?
Other than that, it’s perfect. It reminds me of my husband and I, who have been together for eighteen years- married for seventeen- and it’s where we’re at: A beautifuk, chaotic paradise.
Oh, and in case you missed it, here’s the surprise live performance from the group in LA earlier this week:
Can we PLEASE just get a full on reunion next? I’m talking album, tour, all the things.
As a child of the 80’s and 90’s, naturally I’m a Bon Jovi fan. I mean, how can you NOT be? One of the greatest American Rock bands, and like many of them, they are still going strong.
This morning, I was pleasantly surprised to see not only a new song from the legendary band, but also an album announcement!
The new single “Legendary”, written by Jon Bon Jovi, Billy Falcon, and John Shanks, is basically a reflection of where Jon is in his life at 62.
He recently underwent surgery on his vocal chords, and during the break, he said he had time to re-evaluate his life, and recognize the things that really matter. And the song is a tribute to his wife Dorthea, who has been by his side since the beginning, hence the “Brown Eyed Girl” reference.
I love it! Just an overall happy song, and I am lucky to be able to relate, as I write this with my beautiful two-year old son stealing my phone and throwing it on the kithcen floor after sneezing on it, and my Husky snuggling my feet.
It’s the little things in life that matter.
We so often forget that.
Bon Jovi’s 16th studio album- and their first in four years- “Forever”- comes out on June 7th.
Ok, I’ll be honest here… I’m not that much into The Oscars.
BUTTTT… when I heard that Ryan Gosling was going to perform his hit song from the “Barbie” movie “I’m Just Ken”, well, that got my attention.
Another unpopular opinion of mine: I didn’t think the “Barbie” movie was that great. I know, I know, retract my woman card right now. I wanted to love it, because, hello BARBIE!!! But I personally was left feeling “meh”. Although, let’s be real, Margot Robbie and Ryan Gosling nailed their roles, the entire storyline- for me- was just OK.
That being said, I did love the “I’m Just Ken” song, and Ryan Gosling’s portrayal of Ken was perfect. And so was the performace of the song last night at “The Oscars”!
Especially as Ryan Gosling was joined by Slash and Wolfgang Van Halen.
Pretty freaking cool.
This made me love Ryan Gosling even more. And I feel like I should buy my hsuabnd a bedazzled hot pink suit now. I’m sure he will heartily disagree.
And this somg will be back in my head all day, as well as yours, so you’re welcome.
Ever since the Country Music legend Toby Keith passed away on February 5th due to Stomach Cancer, there have been so many amazing tributes in his honor.
The latest? Post Malone.
He was in Dallas this weekend at The American Rodeo, and did a pretty solid version of Toby Keith’s “As Good as I Once Was”:
Not too shabby, right?
In case you want to enjoy the original again, here ya go:
That there, my friends, is the official Middle Age theme song.
We miss you, Toby!
And stay tuned for more Country Posty in the future. I think this is gonna be good!
Not gonna lie… I’ve been waiting for this all week!
Jack Black and Kyle Gass AKA Tenacious D had been teasing a cover of Britney Spears’s breakout hit “Baby, One More Time” on TikTok this week, and it went viral, because, I mean… how could it not?
Well, in honor of the “Kung Fu Panda 4” movie hitting theaters today (starring Jack Black) the full cover was released, and it’s perfection.
Also, peep Bryan Cranston and Dustin Hoffman in the video:
