One of the big Country Music-centric websites Theboot.com just released a list of the “Saddest Songs in Country Music”… like any list that’s not research-based, it’s totally debatable.

Let’s see what you think!

1.  “Go Rest High on That Mountain” by Vince Gill

2.  “Blue Eyes Crying in the Rain” by Willie Nelson

3.  “I’m So Lonely I Could Cry” by Hank Williams

4.  “The Grand Tour” by George Jones

5.  “Summer’s End” by John Prine

6.  “D-I-V-O-R-C-E” by Tammy Wynette

7.  “Elephant” by Jason Isbell

8.  “Crazy” by Patsy Cline

9.  “Concrete Angel” by Martina McBride

10.  “I’m Not Gonna Miss You” by Glen Campbell

Pretty solid list, but it’s also blasphemy that “Whiskey Lullaby” by Brad Paisley and Allison Krause didn’t rate in the Top 10. Or… what about Garth Brooks “The Dance”? Or Miranda Lambert’s “Tin Man” to name a few???

That’s NOT ok…

What is your go-to sad Country song?
